Open submissions for the upcoming anthology "BLOSSOM"
Poetry comes in many forms and over the past two years we have put out some great projects with specific themes. Today we are opening submissions for our latest project that is sure to get your creative juices flowing.
There is a beauty in creating powerful pieces in a limited amount of words. It takes a different thought process and the results can be incredible.
BLOSSOM will be a collection of HAIKU, MICRO HAIKU, and TANKA poetry.
📌 HAIKU - Haiku is a type of short form poetry originally from Japan. Traditional Japanese haiku consist of three phrases composed of 17 syllables in a 5/7/5 pattern
📌 MICRO HAIKU - is a shortened version of the traditional haiku consisting of 3 lines with a 3/5/3 syllable format.
📌 TANKA - The tanka is a thirty-one-syllable poem, traditionally written in a single unbroken line. but is better known in its five-line, 5/7/5/7/7 syllable count form.
❕❕ BLOSSOM is open to all themes except erotica.
❕❕ Full length poems or short stories will not be accepted.
✅ We encourage multiple submissions and up to six (6) pieces will be accepted per writer/author. We are aiming to showcase the writing of as many individuals with this release as we can.
✅ We are looking for submissions from writers and authors, of all levels. Whether you are a hobbyist, an aspiring writer, a published author, or anything in between-–we want to share your words.
✅ A digital version of the anthology will be provided for each author accepted.
📆The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 12, 2023
❕❕ For anyone wanting to submit to the Blossom anthology, please refer to the submission guidelines below.

✅ Please follow one of the three formats for each piece. We are looking for a strong message, however, due to the nature of this project, the correct format is it's own criteria. We will be checking 🙂

✅ By submitting to the Blossom anthology, you acknowledge you have the right to do so and grant True North Writers Group & 300 South Media Group non-exclusive rights to publish your words. By doing so you also grant 300 South Media Group and all subsidiaries their use in links, excerpts, and images to help promote and share the project to our websites, mailing list recipients, and social media followers.
