Hey my name is Skyla Whitten, i’m a staff member on the lit-mag team for volume 7! Writing wise; I’m a big fan of sci-fi, psychological fiction, and realistic fiction, though a lot of the time I just have fun writing random poems. What kind of things do you like to write?
Mostly poetry—I’ve written a few random scenes before, but I don’t take them as seriously as I do poetry.

Why do you write?
I read a lot when I was little. As I grew older, I wanted to create stories of my own. So here I am!

Are you inspired by anything when you write?
Nature and music.

Why’d you join LitMag?
I had an open class period and knew it would help me become more involved in West Writers. ^^

What’s a goal of yours, inside or outside writing?
To take writing more seriously and grow in my skills—as well as not develop senioritis.
