Ardent Productions Professional Music & Video services. Our Job is to bring your idea to life. Tailoring ourselves to your creative needs. Our goal is to bring your music to life.

With a unrivalled desire to help each artist bring their idea from the stage to the studio. Ardent Productions is a new Studio / Production Company just opened in the south of the UK. Matt and Ewan have been working alongside each other for over 2 years as a partnership, writing and producing music as a collective. Together they make up the production team within Ardent Productions. Being able to

work in tandem and play to each other's strengths to create the best possible finished product. They both have been involved with a host of previous projects, styles ranging from Metal to Soul, and also part of alternative rock outfit ‘Dali’. So they're able to be flexible and understand the characteristics belonging to each genre. As a collective they have a strong songwriting partnership, skills that can be translated to any artist needing that extra attention and push when in the recording process. Whether it's your first time in a studio, or you’re a seasoned studio musician, Matt and Ewan will be welcoming and attentive as needed. All styles are welcomed, with no project too big, or too small. Matt has been creating and making music for over 10 years, with formal qualifications in Music Technology at A Level and a BA Hons degree in Popular Music and Record Production, both to a high calibre. He has experience mixing styles such as Rock, Indie, Blues, Jazz, Funk and Acoustic/Singer Songwriter. With a strong passion for recorded music, being able to translate what the artist wants from their song is something that he knows the importance of first hand as a recording artist himself. Bringing the music to life through mixing is what Matt is dedicated to doing, being able to convey the emotion the artist wants from their song is integral to the process, which is where Matt really dives into what each song means to the artist. Ewan is a self taught Audio Engineer, Producer and Musician, having learnt through years of demoing and songwriting for his various musical projects. These have been across a range of styles giving him experience in writing, recording and producing Rock, Metal, Indie, Acoustic/Singer Songwriter amongst others. Fluent in music theory, Ewan is a strong asset to be recording with. Not only is he a safe pair of hands, being able to make any artist feel comfortable while recording, he also has a natural talent for being able to get the best out of an artist through his production techniques, or his ability to encourage and constructively critique a performance. We also offer video services for studio footage, live performances and acoustic sessions.

Day 4 of work on the warehouse ended with us using it for our first rehearsal in prep for the tour next week. 2 full walls up, almost time to start thinking about ceilings and doors and floors.

Day 3 of work; it was a long one. We started our day just after 10am and didn't leave the warehouse until 2am. Acoustic plasterboard is bloody heavy and working 3-4 metres in the air slows everything down considerably. The main dividing wall keeping us away from the rest of the warehouse is nearly there though and it feels more and more like our space every day.

Progress at the end of the 2nd day. Slowed down a bit with having to fix the saw with a plank of wood named Dale, we still managed a good amount of progress. All the wood is in place for the walls of the live room including room for the acoustic treated window through to the control room you can see on the right. First wall of the control room has also gone up, you can see the edge of it at the far right of the frame. If this music thing doesn't work I might just take out carpentry 🙃.

Studio build Day 1 progress. The first of the stud wall for the live room and the main dividing wall is up. Feels brilliant finally having some physical representation of the work that has gone into getting this place. Late night grainy photo from a couple days ago to show you just how much nothing was there before. Day 2 of the build continues today.
