🔴 The pain and confusion you're feeling are real, and I want you to know it's okay to express those feelings, even to God. The Bible shows us that God is close to the brokenhearted, as we see in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit", reminding us that He's near to those who are crushed in spirit. It's a powerful statement about God’s presence in our suffering.

🔴 The concept of family holds a significant place in the biblical narrative. God often worked through familial lineages, emphasizing the importance of generations and their roles in His divine plan. Delving into the scriptures elucidates the profoundness of family in understanding God's character and operations.

Matthew's Gospel commences with the genealogy of Jesus Christ. This lineage, as presented in Matthew 1, might appear to be a simple list of names; however, it encapsulates a rich tapestry of human experiences, imperfections, and God's redemptive work. Despite their flaws, each individual in this genealogy had a role, purpose, and significance in the overarching story of redemption, culminating in the birth of the Messiah.

"Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah." (Matthew 1:17)

To argue that family distracts from God's will is to overlook the numerous biblical narratives where God employed family as an integral component of His divine plan. Throughout the scriptures, God operates through generations - from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to the house of David, signifying the enduring nature of familial blessings and promises.

"Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments." (Deuteronomy 7:9)

Every facet of life, including family, is a domain of ministry, a platform for service, testimony, and exemplifying God's love and character. By understanding and valuing the familial structures as God does, we can better align our lives with His intentions and designs, recognizing that He uses all circumstances for His glory.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

The Bible continually reinforces the importance of family in God's grand design. From the genealogies to the stories of patriarchs, matriarchs, and even the lineage of Christ, it's evident that family is a pivotal instrument in God's hands. Recognizing this, it becomes imperative for believers to understand and appreciate the sanctity and purpose of family in their walk with God.

🔴For the believer, Love is defined in the character and knowledge of Christ.

Love in the context of Christianity doesn't compare the secular expression.

If I love you and you love me IN CHRIST then it should be understood that we both have the desire the see the will of God be revealed in each other's life. The greatest possible good.

Love requires an imperfect host for all of its attributes to be revealed. You need God's love because you are imperfect.

So...You need to love THEM in their imperfection.

For this reason, the ones most eligible for your love is your enemy, the ones who slandered you, the father and mother that left you, the man or woman that betrayed you.

Love doesnt feel good sometimes. Love is just...What we need.

🔴 Had a conversation recently about resiliency.

The question was posted about how have I been so resilient?

My honest answer... I WASN'T. My resilience was tested and I almost failed.

But today I am more resilient because my support system held me together as I was learning to become more malleable, more flexible, stronger, more patient and understanding.

Resilience increases with time and experiences.

Dont fake it in the moment. Tell someone when you're about to break. Tell someone if you know you don't have the resilience to get through THIS thing you're going through.

"Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

~ 2 Corinthians 12:9-11
