After one of the driest years in console history the Wii-U faithful finally have something truly worth bragging about. After 80 hours XB Chronicles X still has me thoroughly captivated. The motivation for the action (questing) often teeters on the absurd (par for the size and substance course) but the world/creature designs, impetus for immersion/exploration, battle system, and sheer immensity of the overall adventure make it a towering achievement. Earning your way into a Skell the game takes on a whole new dimension.

When someone like Satoru Iwata passes it leaves me speechless. For a man of his position he was such a happy soul, dedicated to everything Nintendo stands for. This is a tough one. My heart goes out to everyone at Nintendo and Nintendo fans everywhere. -DH

25/05/2015

Is it just me or is The Witcher III utterly consuming? Look what I did to the baron! The poor bastard. Shouldn't have listened to that damn tree. At least the kiddies are safe.

Regarding our next issue, don’t consider it “late” but rather, favorably delayed. We merely paused production to proliferate our partnership with Destructoid, the result of which is something as fresh and new as the perfumatory pith that permeates a fresh periodical. From this point forward we portend to produce 11 issues per year. Promise!

...Ink battles are awesome too!

Heading into the home stretch on the latest issue, it's late but for a very cool reason. All will be revealed next week! In the meantime I'm working on a feature based on 5-10 games (PS2/XBOX era to present day) I'd most like to see receive HD makeovers. We're hoping to include a Readers Top 5 as well so, have at it! -DH

I love that developers are still making games that tax the skills we work so hard to hone, but I have to say I prefer Ori and the Blind Forest-type difficulty to the progression-by-death methodology of Souls or BloodBorne (although I like BloodBorne infinitely more than Souls). These are both awesome games, and wicked beautiful. -DH

17/04/2015

How much time needs to elapse for a game to be considered "Retro"? 10 yrs? 15? -DH

15/04/2015

Any opinions/feedback on the new compact size? We're considering a more traditional 7 3/4 x 10 1/2.

07/04/2015

My new-Borne...Bloody good no? -DH
P.S. If you can create a good female you win the prize.
