Axie: Origins Season 1 Is Live!

🔑 Key Points:
- Origins Season 1 is here with over 1.5 M USD in AXS rewards— the largest leaderboard prize pool we’ve ever seen in Axie! We’ve also thrown in a new sticker and 2 avatars as prizes.
- We’ve tuned disenchanting, crafting recipes, and rank reward/crafting progression based on your feedback and data gathered from Season 0.
- Players will now play Rock, Paper, Scissors at the start of each battle. The winner will choose whether to go first or second.
- All Season 0 Runes and Charms are now expired.
- We will be deploying 1 balance patch in Season 1. This patch will come in ~2 weeks.

Ronin Wallet Update Pending Review

We have submitted a Ronin Wallet update to the Chrome Extensions team. Depending on the length of their review, we will release an update to the Ronin wallet browser extension in the next week or two. The newest feature allows the Ronin wallet to compare the site you are visiting to a list of known phishing sites and alert you. These checks are performed in your browser, and the URLs are not sent to Axie Infinity servers. We hope this will cut down on successful scam attempts and prevent trainers from having their assets stolen.

Once approved and deployed, this new update will disable the Ronin Wallet extension and require you to approve new permissions to enable it. We will release another update when we have a firm release date.

Other than approving the new permissions, you do not need to take any actions. If someone asks you to install software to get this update, it is a scam. Also, if anyone or any website asks for your secret recovery phrase (seed phrase), it is a scam. We never need your secret recovery phrase.

We have released a tool that makes it easy for anyone to burn SLP tokens 🔥

This was a feature requested by tournament organizers so that they could host tournaments with an SLP buy-in that gets burned to help balance the economy. We imagine that many more use cases will emerge over time!

Please note that there are no rewards for using this tool. All SLP burned using this tool will be gone forever and cannot be recovered.
