Instagram is now limiting hashtag use to 5 per post or reel (and some accounts already have this!).

Why the change? Instagram says using fewer, more targeted hashtags helps surface content that’s actually relevant—and cuts down on spam.

So no, hashtags aren’t dead… but quality matters more than quantity.

Instagram says:
“We find that using fewer (up to 5) more targeted hashtags, rather than many generic ones, can improve both your content’s performance and people’s experience on Instagram.”

So choose your hashtags wisely and make them count!

You can now share ANY public Story—even if you’re not tagged!
So before, you had to be mentioned to reshare something to your Story… not anymore!

If your account is public, others can share your Stories to their Story—and if you see a Story you want to share, you can go ahead and hit that share button.
Perfect for supporting a favourite business, event shoutouts, community boosts, etc.

Potentially a little more visibility + more reach.

They say the years fly by faster as you get older—and wow, that feels so true. This year brought growth, laughter, lessons, and a little bit of loss. But every moment shaped me, and I truly believe everything happens for a reason.

Running a business isn’t always easy, but it’s so worth it. I’m proud of the moments, the memories, and the milestones that made up this year. Watching my clients grow is the best part of the job—and I’m beyond excited for what’s next.

Thanks for being here. For the laughs, the messages, the referrals, and the kindness. I’m so grateful for the people who surround me—clients, friends, family, and everyone who’s cheered me on. I feel lucky to have you all in my corner.

Repeat after me: You do NOT need a fancy paid scheduler to show up online.
If you're not using the extra features—why pay for them?

Meta Business Suite lets you schedule posts, Reels, and Stories for both Facebook and Instagram—without spending a dime.
And yes, as a social media manager, yes I use paid platforms because I need their added tools, analytics, etc… but I still use Business Suite all the time!

If you’re a small business owner wearing all the hats—save that budget.
Meta’s got your back.

So no excuses!
Plan. Post. Stay consistent.

Social is the new search bar. I always say people use social the same way they use Google — to look up businesses, check reviews, get recommendations, and find what to do.
And now… there are some stats to prove it.

-41% of Gen Z are searching social first
-37% of users go to social first for product reviews
-35% turn to it to find local spots and things to do

Your content can be what they find.
Keep showing up, because 76% of people said something they saw on social influenced a purchase.
