16:20: Winter Storm Warning upgraded to a Blizzard Warning for St Catharines and Northern Niagara Region.

Several serious collisions were reported on all highways in the Niagara Region.

OPP advising extremely dangerous conditions on all roads. Near zero visibility.

Reports of multiple emergency services vehicles being struck on highways.

19:00: Reports of multiple people stabbed in Thorold. Possibly in the area of Stewart Ave. Fire also reported at this same location. Mutiple NRPS, EMS and Fire units are on-scene. More updates to come.

17:30: MVC near S***m Rd and Willoughby Dr. Reports of up to 9 patients. Multiple Niagara EMS units, fire and NRPS on-scene.

UPDATE: All patients are now out of the vehicles. 5 ambulances are on-scene with an additional 2 on route. 5 patients have already been transported to hospital, one in critical condition.

Expect longer wait times for GNGH emergency room.

14:00: Reports of a police-involved shooting that has just occurred in Port Colborne. ORNGE notified. Details unknown at this time.

Prior to this NRPS were on-scene between Canal Bank Rd and Church Street for an armed person contained inside a residence.

1:35: QEW Toronto Bound in the area of Third St, OPP along with Fire and EMS are responding for an MVC involving a motorcycle.

16:49: Geneva St. between North St. and Welland Ave, Closed to to pedestrian and vehicle traffic for a police investigation. ETU and Crisis Negotiators on-scene.

At approximately 18:45, emergency services responded to Highway 406 northbound, South of of Woodlawn Rd - Welland for a single vehicle MVC.

At 19:10: After the patient was extricated out of the vehicle, another vehicle struck the Niagara EMS ambulance on-scene. Fortunately there were no injuries.

01:25: Area of Welland Ave at Page St, Emergency services are responding for a vehicle into a building. Vehicle reported to be on fire.

At around 17:50, Emergency services responded to the area of 6650 Niagara Pkwy Niagara Falls, for reports of a female floating down the river towards the falls after falling in around the power station.

Thankfully, upon arrival, Niagara EMS bike unit found the patient to be alert, out of the water and on the bank.

UPDATE: Wainfleet skydiving incident

It has been confirmed, a woman has died following a skydiving incident Sunday at Skydive Burnaby in Wainfleet.

First responders were first called at around 3:30 p.m. after of a woman suffered an 'extreme fall'. Bystanders were reported performing CPR before emergency crews arrived. Despite efforts, she was pronounced deceased on scene

Skydive Burnaby says the woman, who was not from the Niagara Region, was an experienced skydiver who was conducting a high-performance canopy maneuver at the time.

11:28: NRPS, EMS and Fire are responding to 328 Ridge Rd N - Fort Erie, for a unknown police matter. More details to follow.

UPDATE: Police and EMS on-scene having trouble locating a patient due to the festival currently on-going in this area. It is reported to be a female unconscious after a possible assault.

23:00: Emergency services are currently on-scene on York Rd between Concession 1 and 2 - NOTL for serious MVC, rollover. One confirmed fatality at this point. ORNGE notified for another patient.

16:40: Reports of a possible shooting in the area of 8870 Lundy’s Lane - Niagara Falls.

Update: One female shot in the head with a BB gun. Emergency services currently on-scene. Air ORNGE is currently attempting to land near the scene.

Patient is being transported to Hamilton General Hospital by air. Police will remain on-scene.

15:05: Emergency services are currently on-scene in the area of 181 Hartzel Rd (in front of Shoppers Drugs Mart) for a MVC, vehicle vs. motorcycle. ORNGE air notified.

23:10: Large MVC reported in the area of 31964 Highway 3 - Wainfleet. Reports of up to 5 patients ejected out of the vehicle. Called in by Wainfleet Fire Chief.
OPP, NRPS, Multiple Niagara EMS ambulances, racing to the scene. ORNGE notified.

UPDATE:
Fire, 1 ambulance and EMS supervisor on-scene taking command. 4 additional ambulances and another EMS supervisor responding.

Do not call 911 unless you have an actual emergency situation as it is an unnecessary use of emergency services.

00:07: Niagara EMS and NRPS are currently on-scene in the area of 111 Church St, for a male who has been stabbed. Air ORNGE has been notified.

UPDATE:
Male patient transported to St. Catharines Hospital with a stab wound to the lower back.

At approx. 21:30 Niagara EMS, NRPS and Fire responding to 17 Old Pine Trail for reports of a stabbing. Once arrived on-scene they located a male with no vital signs. He was pronounced deceased by EMS.

00:30: Emergency services are currently on-scene in the area of Blondin Ave and River Rd, for a Gorge Rescue. Niagara Falls Fire currently has voice contact with a patient unable to get out.
