I RETURNED HOME FROM MY DAUGHTER'S FUNERAL TO FIND A TENT IN MY BACKYARD. A week ago, my 8-year-old daughter, Lily, passed away from cancer. The funeral was as devastating as you'd expect. By the time I got home, I was emotionally drained, but when I pulled into the driveway, I froze. There was a huge tent in my backyard. Bright and circus-like. On the day of my daughter's funeral? It's nothing fancy, but it's mine. My sister and her husband, the free-spirited types, sold their home for a year-long travel adventure. They thought the money would last, but within two months, they were broke. They seriously underestimated how fast expenses would add up, especially with two young kids to take care of. One day, I came home to find them unpacking in my house. Apparently, my mom gave them the spare key. When I asked them to leave, they refused.
