It’s our birthday this week and we are so excited to share in the joy that Wonder Play Co. has created for our family!!! Hello Everyone. I realize I’ve been really silent on here and I want to thank those of you who have noticed and reached out. These past couple of months my Nana fell sick and I took a step back from Wonder Play Co. to spend valuable time with her & my family. Sadly she passed 2 weeks ago and I have been struggling to motivate myself while mourning the woman who has been my constant my whole life. I miss her so much and it’s been agonizing but I am healing and have began working on a new normalcy for my life. My grandma was our matriarch and as selfless as they come; she experienced so many hardships but you could never tell because she was always so focused on fulfilling and supporting her children and grandchildren. She was my safety and where I often ran to when life became too much, she always had a place for those in need and never let us forget the value of our existence. She loved us so much and in turn we loved her deeply as well. I have and always will be motivated by her strength and her life lessons. This week I’ll start posting spring and Easter items in the shop and hopefully get back into the groove that once was Wonder Play Co. and I apologize for those who had needed custom orders that I had to turn down this last month but showed me such understanding and comfort.

Thank you everyone for the understanding and I’m happy to be announcing some fun news as Wonder Play Co. approaches it’s 1 year anniversary.

Raising a sensory seeker is one of my favorite things. Jesse takes in everything (and sometimes that can be overwhelming) and he really feels it all. Whether it’s mariachi or jazz music with his eyes closed as he takes in the instruments vibrations or when he’s stimming in his sensory bins, it’s always pure beauty watching him. While it’s not always a walk in the park the moments like these make up for it. So often we grow and forget the beauty in the fine details but not him it’s the details that make it all the better (or worse lol). While I make these kits for all children he is my inspiration, I often curate the details of the kits with him in mind; I’ll ask myself “will Jesse like the smoothness, roughness, or bumpiness in this kit. Is there enough tactile feedback for him?”. So often I’m told about how much people like the details in our kits but I could not take credit without my muse, my entire way and approach to play changed when we had him and for that I’m truly thankful. ❤️ Thank you everyone who continues to support our small shop, thank you for the community you have given us.

We are so happy to share our picks of children’s books for Hispanic Heritage Month. We honestly have so many more we love but had to minimize our picks so that the post would fit. (But we will list a few extras not included on our last slide). I also hope that this helps anyone looking at exploring culture and diversity with your child through reading. We would also like to mention that our Lil' Libros books are purchased from Sew Bonita ,she has done such a great job curating a wonderful children’s book collection on her site that truly embrace the beauty and diversity of our culture.

We love a fun sensory set up, and I just wanted to share how we are using our Halloween products for a super fun and engaging activities. Jesse loves water play and we just got I our new The Creative Learning Co. faucet board. (For anyone looking at these I recommend visiting her page, she has amazing products that pair with the Ikea Filsat table.) We loved this cute little potion play date and Jesse spent over an hour at his table counting, pouring, working on his fine motor skills, and washing his toys.

It’s offically the first day of summer and what better way to cool down than water play!!! I always get asked what beginner sensory activities can small ones start with and I always recommend water play it gives tactile feedback and based on what you choose to incorporate with it can include so much more. We love using these products with our kids, and have enjoyed how much more comfortable it has helped our son feel at bath time. It’s now his most favorite time of day and it wasn’t always like that so I’m grateful ❤️ (great for kids with water aversions, & disabilities).
