How We Go Do AM The goal is to elevate the conversation. Don’t just disagree with no valid contributions. Welcome to my blog! The Goal is to enhance and elevate the conversation.

As a curious person I love to keep an open mind enough to resist self stupidity 😁, I love exploring the latest trends, social issues, and political developments. I'm passionate about entertainment and may share some thoughts on comedy, music , movies, TV shows, and books. I'm extremely fascinated by scientific reasoning and love discussing new discoveries and theories especially on how it affects

our Universe. If you agree with me too much(>60) then we need to get married 😂. But don't just disagree with no valid contributions to the conversation. "KG"

Science | Religion

Full disclosure: I have a strong bias towards our current era of science 😉. I mean, come on, we've got life-saving medical treatments, super-efficient agriculture, etc and we're still uncovering mysteries of the universe that our ancestors could only dream of.
But let's not forget, the era of religion played a significant role in getting us to where we are today. Sure, some religious contributions may have been ladened with errors, but they still guided human existence in one way or the other. We wouldn't be here without the influence of religion, and we owe it to our ancestors to recognize that and appreciate it.

It is difficult to make a straightforward comparison between the era of science and the era of religion, as both have had their positive and negative impacts on humanity. It is also worth noting that the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive in my opinion , as scientific advancements have often been made by individuals who were inspired by their religious beliefs.

The scientific advancements of the modern era have enabled humanity to achieve unprecedented levels of power and control over the natural world. This power has brought with it both benefits and risks. On one hand, science has enabled us to develop life-saving medical treatments, increase agricultural productivity, and improve our understanding of the universe. On the other hand, it has also given us the ability to create powerful weapons, manipulate the genetic code of living organisms, and alter the climate of our planet.

It is possible that the era of science could be more dangerous than the era of religion, depending on how we choose to use the power that science has given us.

I am hopeful that the benefits of science will ultimately outweigh the risks, as long as we are able to use our knowledge and technology wisely and responsibly. Ultimately, the future impact of science on humanity will depend on the choices we make as a society, and our ability to navigate the ethical and moral questions that arise from our ever-expanding scientific knowledge.

Our UNIVERSE.
I always feel a sense of awe and wonder whenever I look up at the night sky. Do you feel the same?

The universe is vast and mysterious, and there is still so much we have yet to understand. It is important for us to keep exploring and learning about the universe.

Studying the universe helps us understand our place in it. The stars, planets, galaxies etc , why are they there? A better understanding of the origins of our own planet and how life evolved on Earth can help us prevent our own doom.

Advancements in space exploration and technology have led to numerous scientific and technological breakthroughs that have improved our daily lives. From medical imaging to GPS.

If you have ever used a GPS , say thanks to the many individuals who have contributed to space research for its impacts are far-reaching.

The wonders of the universe should inspire us to dream big and to push the boundaries of what we thought was possible. We need to ask questions, seek answers, and to pursue knowledge for the sake of “knowledge” itself.

Let's keep exploring, keep learning, and keep pushing the boundaries of what we know. The universe is waiting to be discovered, and the possibilities are endless.

Rigged!!! (In Trump Voice) 😁😁

Election rigging is complex and can involve a variety of actors, including politicians, election officials, security forces, clergy , businessmen etc and other stakeholders.
Election rigging takes many forms, ranging from voter intimidation and vote buying to ballot stuffing and the manipulation of election results during or after the ballots are cast.
Leaders with certain traits and tendencies in my opinion are more likely to engage in election rigging, and it is important we are able to detect and be cautious of these types of leaders.

Leaders with dictatoria/lauthoritarian tendencies are more likely to want to maintain their grip on power.

Leaders who are already in power and seeking re-election are more likely to engage in election rigging to ensure their continued stay in power.

Leaders who face strong opposition from rival parties due to general dissatisfaction in the electorate are more likely to engage in election rigging to gain an advantage over their opponents.

Leaders who have evidence of a lack or weak commitment to democratic principles and values are more likely to engage in election rigging to maintain their hold on power.

Leaders who have engaged in electoral malpractice in the past are obvious candidates to engage in election rigging again in the future.

Learn and know your leader!

Happy 66-Years of independence. Although not yet economically and politically independent as many might like, at least K. Nkrumah’s dream of self-governance now is something that can and should be celebrated.

Let’s honor this day with few of my favorite Nkrumah quotes.

"We have to prove that greatness is not to be measured in stockpiles of atom bombs. It is to be measured in the welfare of the people, in the health, in the housing, in the schools, in the jobs, and in the distribution of wealth."

"Our independence is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of Africa."

"Africa must unite. We have before us not only an opportunity but also an obligation. We must unite now or perish."

"Our continent certainly exceeds all the others in potential hydroelectric power, which some experts assess as 42 percent of the world's total. Our rivers, lakes, and waterfalls, which are still largely untouched, provide immense possibilities for irrigation and the generation of electricity."

"We must eliminate colonialism from Africa, for it is anachronistic. Whether it is French colonialism in Algeria, British colonialism in Kenya, or Portuguese colonialism in Angola, it is still the same backward, outmoded, and reactionary foreign domination."

Africa can feed itself and the entire world 🌎..

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Africa has about 60% of the world's uncultivated arable land. This means that we have the potential for agricultural development that can greatly improve food security and boost our economy.

Unfortunately, many African countries still struggle with food insecurity and low agricultural productivity, even with so much land available. There are a number of factors that contribute to this, such as limited access to inputs, poor infrastructure, inadequate markets, and unfavorable policies. And on top of all that, climate change and environmental degradation also pose significant challenges to agricultural production in many parts of Africa.

But all is not lost! How We Go Do AM. If we want to take advantage of Africa's abundant arable land, we need to invest in sustainable agriculture practices, improve infrastructure, increase access to finance and markets, and develop policies that support agricultural development. It will take a concerted effort from governments, development partners, and the private sector to create an enabling environment for agricultural development that benefits farmers, consumers, and the economy as a whole.

Let us unite in thoughts and actions to work towards a brighter future for Africa. We have the resources and the potential, and with the right investments and policies, we can make Africa thrive.

No dey give up!!!!
In the 2023 election, Nigerian youth demonstrated that social media activism can translate into a significant voting bloc with the potential to influence the future of what many consider to be the "Giant" of Africa. The Nigerian electoral commission, INEC, has recently declared Tinubu as the winner of the race. However, if this result is confirmed, the youth should not lose hope in their activism for a better nation.

Yes, there is still hope for Nigerian youth despite Peter Obi's loss in the election. While Peter Obi's candidacy may have represented a particular vision and set of policies that resonated with some Nigerian youth, it's important to remember that there are many paths to creating positive change in society.

Nigerian youth can continue to engage with the political process, advocate for policies and reforms that are important to them, and work to build strong communities that support each other in achieving their goals. They can also get involved in civil society organizations, community groups, and other forms of activism to effect change at the grassroots level.

In the struggle for progress setbacks along the way are inevitable. However, by continuing to learn, work together and remain focused only then shall the vision of a better future be attained.

When would our leaders make us proud?

Though it can be thought that leaders are the representation of the people they lead, I think they are more a product of the education system (Formal and Informal). Therefore the quality of education should lead to the quality of leadership in most cases.

Education is one of the most important factors that contribute to the development of leaders in any society. The educational system provides individuals with the knowledge, skills, and values that are necessary for leadership.

Leadership is not only about intelligence and competence, but also about character, vision, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. These qualities are often nurtured through education. Through education, individuals can learn about the history of their country, the political system, and the values that underpin society. They can also develop critical thinking skills, communication skills, and teamwork skills, all of which are essential for leadership.

Although I believe education is the most important factor , do recognize that other factors exist, such as family background, personal experiences, and cultural values etc.

Anti Racist protests in Tunisia ?🇹🇳.

“The demonstrators marched on Saturday to denounce racism and demand that the president apologise for his remarks, which included claims of a plot to erase Tunisia’s identity by overrunning it with sub-Saharan Africans.”

According to the United Nations, the conflict in Cabo Delgado - Mozambique has displaced over 700,000 people, with many of them facing food insecurity, malnutrition, and limited access to health care. The UN has also reported that more than 2,800 people have been killed in the conflict, including both civilians and military personnel.

In addition, the crisis has disrupted key industries in the affected areas, including agriculture, fishing, and natural gas extraction. The instability has also affected foreign investment and tourism in the country, leading to further economic challenges. According to some estimates, the conflict may have caused billions of dollars in economic damage to Mozambique's economy.

“We must teach our children the true history of Black Africans when they were kings in Egypt and not just the era of slavery that is cemented by education in America. Do you remember the time when we were kings?” Hart allegedly stated.

It's time to break free from the shackles of colonialism and start critically evaluating the world around us. 🌍 Let's re-educate ourselves and open up to alternative perspectives that challenge the status quo. 💡 🌟

Democracy paaaa!!..hmmm 😑

I would say this! Aristocratic democracy is a total no-go if we want to see underdeveloped nations flourish. It's like adding fuel to the fire of inequality, corruption, and political instability. Who wants that?

Elitism and exclusion are the name of the game - "Do you know me?" "Are you my co-equal?" Comot for there😂

Let's not forget the classic case of "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." With no accountability, who knows what shenanigans the elite and power drunk will get up to.

And don't even get me started on representation. The rich only care about the rich. Who's looking out for the little guy?

Resistance to any change that would limit their access to the loot. How can an unwilling participant put in structures that would address pressing social and economic issues in our societies.

So, let's say no to aristocratic democracy and yes to a fair and just system that benefits everyone.

25/02/2023

During the 19th and 20th centuries, Europeans introduced education into Africa to serve colonial interests and train Africans to be subservient. Today, many of these structures still exist, and colonial education continues to haunt Africa in terms of its legacy and ongoing effects. One of the key legacies is the promotion of Eurocentric worldviews and suppression of indigenous knowledge systems, resulting in the marginalization and lack of value for African languages, cultures, and traditions. Colonial education also produced a small elite class of Africans trained to serve colonial interests, rather than promoting a system that induces development and social mobility for all. Consequently, African education systems today are characterized by deep inequalities, poor quality education, and limited opportunities for advancement.

As it stands today many African countries continue to rely on foreign aid and expertise to support their education systems, which perpetuates a dependency on outside dictators and actors undermining local efforts to change the education system.

I am sure most would agree that a change is needed, but How We Go Do Am?

One of the effective strategies used in colonial education was the suppression of local languages in favor of European languages, which had a negative impact on Africans' ability to express themselves and participate in their society's development. To address this, promoting the use of local languages in education and governance can counteract this negative legacy. Imagine the positive impact if half of parliamentary business were conducted in local languages, alongside the more widely used western languages 🤔.

It's essential to incorporate African history and culture into the curriculum as they were often overlooked and presented as inferior to European history and culture. Highlighting African contributions to world history and culture in the curriculum will allow students to learn and appreciate Africa's rich history and cultural heritage. For instance, many just like me are surprised by Africa's significant role in WWII.

The most crucial aspect of education in Africa is promoting critical thinking. Colonial education relied on memorization (chew and pour 😂) rather than problem-solving, which limited Africans' ability to innovate and respond to changing circumstances. A curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking skills, inquiry-based learning methods, and problem-solving will develop students' analytical abilities and empower them to contribute to their communities' growth and development.

24/02/2023

The upcoming presidential election in Nigeria is an important moment for the country, and the fact that a candidate with significant youth support is in the running is an encouraging sign. The youth demographic in Nigeria is a large and important one, and their engagement and participation in the political process is crucial for the country's future.

However, many including me still remain cautiously optimistic about what positive effect this youth political activism would bring to Nigeria and the continent at large. Youth political activism has been on the rise in many African countries in recent years. This is driven by various factors, including the desire for change and better life, frustration with the status quo, senseless poverty and the availability of social media platforms that enable young people to mobilize and organize better than before..

To sustain this wave of youth political activism on the African continent, here are a few strategies I feel may help: “How We Go Do Am”

Education and awareness: There is a need for more education and awareness campaigns to help young people understand the importance of political participation and the impact they can have on their communities. This can be done through social media campaigns, public events, and targeted educational programs. Like many have heard me say before , if we don't make it in this era of free information and social media , can we ever make it?

Networking and collaboration: This can help them share best practices, learn from each other's experiences, and build a stronger pan-African movement across the different regions and countries.

Support and funding: (Hmmm😁) Youth political activism requires funding and support to be sustained over the long term. However, based on our past experiences we all know how when some youth begin to taste the honey of funding $ they forget about the mission. With that being said, governments, international organizations, and philanthropic organizations should invest in youth-led initiatives and provide financial and technical support to help young people organize and mobilize effectively.

Recognition and validation: Policy makers and other organizations should acknowledge the role that young people play in shaping the future of their countries and actively seek to involve them in decision-making processes. This idea should be ingrained right from the policy creation phase and make it into the governance structure for both private and public entities.

With these strategies, it is possible to sustain the wave of youth political activism in African countries and create a brighter future for all young people on the continent.

24/02/2023

Does the absence of light mean there is really no light?

The absence of visible light in a space does not necessarily mean that other forms of light are not present, which the human eye may not be equipped to detect yet. The use of the word "yet" suggests that with technological advancement, we may be able to develop devices that aid our eyes to detect other types of light. For instance, even though we may not be able to see objects or perceive colors accurately in a dimly lit room, some light may still be present.

Infrared light, ultraviolet light, and radio waves are examples of electromagnetic radiation that are not visible to the human eye. Therefore, even if a space seems to be completely dark, it does not mean that other types of light are not present.

To sum up, the absence of visible light indicates that there is no light that we can see in that environment, but it is essential to keep in mind that there may be other forms of light present that are not visible to us.
