Dispersed camping near Sedona used to be a lot different than it is now. Up until October 2022, free camping in Sedona was epic. Arguably some of the best boondocking around. However, overuse and the greedy "need" for control have caused a lot of the most epic dispersed camping near Sedona to shut down. That moment when the sun is about to fade away below the horizon and you begin going ape sh*t trying to capture every last second of sunlight.

That’s exactly what happened here.

The sun was stuck behind a small belt of clouds for what seemed like the longest time making everything feel dull and uninteresting.

But as soon as the light dipped, sun stars bursting, and incredible light illuminating all the rock, I just went crazy trying to capture it all!

This was by far one our more favorite and memorable sunsets to date!

In photography you take many photos in hopes of getting a few bangers to be proud of!

Well, after going through all the photos I’m shocked to admit there were a grand total of 2,796 keepers—which means I manually edited each one of those—out of the nearly six thousand photos taken between the main camera and drone during our time in Sedona!

Definitely a bit tired of editing. But stoked to be getting more photos online and getting the blog content produced!

Would it be wild if we decided to go back up to ?!

Moody times in !

After being in Sedona for so long, some of the best views of the surrounding red rocks were just before or after a good rain.

We saw that snow was forecasted and because can’t make it in the snow we seemed out lower ground.

Turns out is quite beautiful after it snows. At least got to experience some of the winter wonderland for a couple days after returning!
