Hwa-rim.｡*･ﾟﾟ Exhuma🖤

(Didn't get the chance to work on a tiktok video today kaya teaser muna of my exhuma makeup look)

This was by far the hardest makeup look I’ve ever attempted. It took more preparation time than I anticipated because I had to learn Korean makeup, practice copying Chinese calligraphy, and research about the cultural elements that inspired the look. Achieving the Korean 'glass skin' effect was a success😍 and I learned a lot of new techniques too. Korean makeup artists' attention to detail is really something, and it's fascinating how a simple-looking makeup look is actually meticulously crafted just to fit a specific person's face. I'll definitely try experimenting with more Korean makeup styles in the future.

As for the Chinese calligraphy, I didn’t manage to cover my whole face. Una hindi ako nakakabasa or nakaka-intindi ng Chinese ahHaHAHhaha ang hirap maging delulu hays. Simply copying the characters wasn’t enough I also had to write the characters backwards💀. Aside from the language barrier hahaha I also found out that the film Exhuma had received criticism from the Chinese community for how it depicted/used calligraphy on the face. Hindi na natuloy yung film accurate na face paint but I didn’t want na masayang yung efforts ng Sinemun team (thanks so much Mun Tagle and ) para magshoot, so I gave writing Chinese calligraphy backwards a try again and wrote 'exhuma' on my cheek, I hope I got it right though HAHAHAHAHHA
