Our second release is a selection of lost improvisations by argentine cult proto-industrial band Quum, recorded between the years 2012-2014, most of them conceived to be played in different artistic and performative contexts.

Quum subscribes to the driving attitude of the Madí Movement ("invent and create"), coinciding in a conceptual vector that unites their teachers, Gyula Kosice, Jorge L Borges and Xul Solar.
Quum is a quiché-maya word extracted from the Popol Vuh that means "the secret", "that which is hidden behind the apparent", or "the mystery". The symbol that identifies them is a replica of the huge spider drawn mysteriously on the Nazca-Peru plateau.
Quum is, in addition to music, a living gesture of alternatives to conventional paradigms and pre-established archetypal behaviors.

With great enthusiasm we announce our second release, quite a special one. Xtraqt Vol. 1, a selection of unheard tracks by argentine cult proto-industrial band Quum, recorded between the years 2012/2014.
Formed in 1978, Quum Grupo is a group (currently consisting of brothers and founders members Gustavo and Daniel Gatti) that offers hypnotic and rhythmical improvisations in the language of experimental electronics, with a great participation of randomness, risk and uncertainty. Their music is inspired by science fiction, Zen Buddhism, chaos theory, ecology, the UFO phenomenon and the wabi-sabi concept.
This is the first delivery of our second series ALBUM which, unlike MUTUALISMOS, will focus on conceptual releases, including some obscure works digged up from the past.

Tomorrow 23th of February at 3 pm CET / 11 am Buenos Aires, Diamin and Fango will take part of Minou Oram´s show for : SVVENIR. This mix is very special for us, since it was recorded live during an event held last year by Tecnologías Elementales at Hangar Centre for Art Research and Production (Barcelona).
It reflects the interest of the label for those sounds that express the constant intersection between the abstract and the material, the organic and the synthetic, the alien form and the familiar.

, one of our guests for tomorrow night, has been active as a Dj and producer since 2009, developing through this time a personal sound: broken rhythms, metallic percussions and dark atmospheres. His
performances span upon a big part of the underground clubs and parties in Santiago de
Chile, including international presentations as well in venues like Bossa Nova Civic Club
(NYC, USA), New Trash Is The New Acid (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Fuga Festival (Lima,Perú). Starting 2020, Qasio settless his base in Berlin, where he has so far released "Black Minerals EP" and "Sky Patrol EP" both on 12" vinyl, as well as performing at the berliner streaming platform HÖR and various venues in Europe.
Qasio`s Dj sets are built into a flexible search, crossing over the musical genre parameters. He
has shared gigs with some active participants from the international electronic
music scene, playing along with Max McFerren, Mike Servito, J.Albert, Person Of Interest,
Florian Kupfer, and OMAR among others.

We share with you this beautiful interview that NSNS Magazine did with Kamila Govorčin in which they discuss about Mutualismos 01.

"During the pandemic I created some tracks that were too different, very experimental and personal, so I thought to myself no one would like them. I wasn’t interested in releasing them, until Amin Diamin told me that she and Fango were creating a new label called Tecnologías Elementales and they really wanted me to take part. They were interested in authentic music, so I sent them those hidden tracks and to my surprise they loved them!"

"It was some kind of exercise of exploring textures, sounds and my voice, with which I felt very authentic, trying not to get influenced from the external world although that’s impossible. Besides, non of the music I create I find it to be mine, I see it as a download of information."

"After like 4-5 months of pandemic, I started to become more and more isolated, talking to almost no one, reading a lot of books, hearing a lot of podcasts and doing a strong introspective job. I also, started to have very symbolic dreams which were key to all my development afterwards. So those tracks, reflect that period."

"On “RWD” I talk, in Spanish, my native language, about a real dream which is very symbolic; returning to a garden full of myrtles. On “T”, coming from Tree, I talk English, but in a very erratic way (is not my native language), describing the journey of finding truth, which is hard work! Both of those tracks have a kind of introspective mood. The third one “2FWD” is the most different one, with a more uplifting mood, like coming out of that period of isolation and entering into some kind of different dimension, seeing everything with new eyes."

Recent years have been very active for Kamila Govorčin, chilean dj, producer and co-founder of Panal Records. She released several tracks on multiple labels and compilations, many of which explore nostalgic atmospheres that evoke electronic music from the 1990s. and her name appeared in local editions of Dekmantel and Boiler Room.

In MUTUALISMOS 01 Kamila delivers three intimate tracks that are the result of an exercise in self-knowledge through music production after a period of questioning and discomfort. In her journey to find inner truth, these playful explorations with rhythmic patterns, ghostly melodies and digitally-processed voices allowed Kamila to rewind her mind in order to remember, reset, truly forget and carry on.

A cargo de la masterización de los primeros lanzamientos de Tecnologías Elementales estuvo Carlos Shaw músico y productor que cumplió un papel fundamental en el desarrollo de la escena electrónica en Argentina. Integró numerosas bandas pioneras de techno pop así como también el dúo industrial Unidad de Transmisión con el cual en 1993 publican el primer disco de EBM de Argentina. Después de dejar Unidad de Transmisión, Carlos decide enfocarse en su carrera solista e incursionar en géneros como el drum & bass, electro, techno y trance bajo el nombre de Frecuencia Infinita. Desde ese momento hasta la fecha ha publicado gran cantidad de tracks y remixes. Como compositor, productor y masterizador trabajó con artistas como Urban Groove, Altocamet, Abducidos, Romina Cohn, entre muchos otros.

In charge of the mastering for the first releases of Tecnologías Elementales is Carlos Shaw, a musician and producer who played a fundamental role in the development of the electronic scene in Argentina. He was a member of numerous pioneering techno pop bands as well as the industrial duo Unidad de Transmisión, with which in 1993 they released the first argentinean EBM album. After leaving Unidad de Transmisión, Carlos decided to focus on his solo career and venture into genres such as drum & bass, electro, techno and trance under the aka Infinite Frequency. From that moment to date he has published a large number of tracks and remixes. As a composer, producer and mastering, he worked with artists such as Urban Groove, Altocamet, Abducidos, Romina Cohn, among many others.

Lamas Burgariotti es un estudio de diseño gráfico multidisciplinar situado entre Buenos Aires y Madrid. Su investigación se centra en la búsqueda tipográficas, dirección de arte, diseño editorial, diseño web, así como la creación de obras e instalaciones. La intersección entre arte y diseño es fundamental en su trabajo, por eso nos pareció la decisión acertada convocarlos para que compongan un sistema y un lenguaje en los que se base nuestra identidad visual. Cada pieza de comunicación de Tecnologías Elementales, como el diseño gráfico de nuestros primeros lanzamientos y de nuestras redes son el producto de una cuidadosa labor que vincula texturas, tipografías y elementos gráficos en un sistema coherente y en constante mutación.

The intersection between art and design is fundamental to their work, which is why we thought it was the perfect decision to ask them to compose the system and language on which our visual identity is based. Nos gustaría compartir con ustedes un poco de historia. Cuando buscábamos nuestra identidad visual, el destino (o la operación silenciosa de las tecnologías elementales) quiso que nos cruzáramos con Mark Angelo. Desde siempre admiramos su trabajo, por lo que para nosotros es un verdadero honor que aceptara contribuir a nuestro proyecto con su enfoque creativo.
El artista visual Mark Angelo Harrison ha estado muy involucrado en la escena rave del Reino Unido desde 1990 y es uno de los miembros fundadores de Spiral Tribe: un colectivo artístico y sound system crucial para el movimiento de las free partys. Gran parte de su obra, caracterizada por un profundo enfoque conceptual y una dedicación artesanal, se convirtió en representativo de esta nueva cultura.
Para nuestro logo, Mark logró sintetizar un sistema de lenguaje que integra algunos conceptos que pueden parecer contradictorios pero que nosotros queremos pensar juntos: tecnología/naturaleza, digital/analógico, futuro/pasado, virtual/real, orgánico/sintético, ciencia/magia. Un lenguaje dirigido a las inteligencias humanas y no humanas, que es el lenguaje de toda tecnología elemental que usamos para el conocimiento interior, los viajes cósmicos o las experiencias comunitarias.

We would like to share with you a little history. When we were in search of our visual identity, destiny (or the silence operation of elemental technologies) wanted us to cross paths with Mark Angelo . For long time we had admired his work, so for us it's a true honor that he agreed to contribute to our project with his creativity.
Visual artist Mark Angelo Harrison has been heavily involved in the UK rave scene since 1990 and is one of the founding members of Spiral Tribe: an arts collective and sound system crucial to the free party movement. A lot of his artwork, characterized by a deep conceptual approach and a dedication to craftsmanship, became representative of this new culture.
For our logo, Mark managed to synthesize a language system that integrates some concepts that may seem contradictory, but we want to think them together: technology/nature, digital/analogue, future/past, virtual/real, organic/synthetic, science/magic. A language for both human and non human intelligence, which is the language of every elemental technology that we use for inner knowledge, cosmic travelling or communal experiences.
