You love mods, right? The game wouldn't be the same without them, right? You go to itch looking for mods, it has now become second nature to click "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" when given the choice to donate. Don't worry, we all do it. Free is always great! The problem is... nothing is actually free. Sure, its free to click "download" and jump into the game, but the modder who built that beautiful green tractor (or red, if you're a co**ie 😉), or that realistic map, or that seamless shed spent lots of his or her precious time creating it. If you enjoy it, go give them a buck or two, buy them a coffee. I promise, you won't hardly even feel it, and not only does it show them we appreciate those mods, every little donation helps them keep their PCs updated to create the next mod. Don't get me wrong, its a little annoying if I'm being honest to see modders poor-mouth for the latest graphics card, but realistically they shouldn't have to. I know for a fact there are a few modders out there working on outdated systems with subpar graphics and deleting and shuffling MBs just so they can work on their mods. Most of you don't even know it bc they are too proud to tell anyone. We get to play this game with so many great public mods without having to learn to do it ourselves or spend our precious time doing it. Modders spend time away from friends and family, spend less time actually enjoying the game itself, or forfeiting time they could be fishing while we are doing those things just to finish a mod they showcased. C'mon, the least we can do is help them out a bit. Don't demand or beg for mods, ask if and/or when it will be publicly released, or leak mods. If you're unsure how to donate, check their FB pages for PayPal, etc. or just ask. Most of all, be generous, be patient, cast your line, and enjoy the sunset while the modder is doing God's work. 🫶
P.S. I'm certainly not shaming anyone.
