Itâs our birthday week! Three years and five issues later, I canât believe this dream is still alive and kicking! We are a lit and arts magazine that centers LGBTQIA+ fashion. We insist on accessibility, paying our artists, uplifting marginalized voices both in our editorial team and our contributors, and contributing to dismantling the barriers around publishing as much as possible. We wholly subsist on grants, which means most of our grand funds go to our writers. We have some very exciting things in the works, so could you please help us fund our DIY printing gadgets, as well as other needs such as continuing to pay our writers and editors and designers, and other needs? We will love you anyway, but even a little more. đ

We want to make it abundantly clear that just femme & dandy stands with Palestine and Palestinian resistance. We are devastated and enraged to see apathetic responses and propaganda from world leaders and the media to the genocide of Palestinians, as well as lit mags, orgs, and our larger community. This is not a âcomplicated conflict.â This moment is an escalation of a 75 year ongoing occupation. Recent uprisings are a reaction to decades of colonization, displacement, oppression, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing. To condemn or equate Palestinian resistance to the violence of their oppressor is to paint this as a balanced conflict, which obscures the asymmetric war taking place and dehumanizes believers in armed resistance as a path to collective liberation. It is clear this is no longer about Hamas. Israel is collectively punishing the Palestinian people to further their settler colonial agenda. It is not antisemitic to oppose Zionism, but rather it is antisemitic to conflate Zionism with Judaism. There are many Jewish people who oppose the Israeli state. Israel is involved in oppression internationally, including an exchange program with Atlanta PD to train at Cop City. We firmly believe that all oppressions are interconnected, and so our resistance must be as well. Solidarity is necessary to free Palestine. We demand an immediate ceasefire and hope to see humanitarian aid reach Gaza. In the long run, we firmly support the decolonization of Palestine and an end to Israeli occupation. We in the q***r community are all too familiar with the notion that silence = death. To be neutral is to be complicit.
