Leafleur Magazine change the perception . partake in style . empowering professionals who partake You have a busy life. Breathe in, breathe out. No hard pain pills for you!

Investors calling and endless proposal writing from dawn til dusk and back to dawn again has worn you down. That's when you pick yourself back up - coffee in one hand and a v**e in the other. You lounge back as you watch the sun rise above as the sweet nectar fills your lungs. Now... this day is yours! You finally finished cleaning the house after your kids tore it apart before leaving with friend

s for a weekend away. A rare moment to yourself, you realize there's still a mountain of laundry waiting behind that door but the only person to nag you about it is yourself. Your head pounding from lack of sleep and sanity, you sit back with the box from atop your mantle. Papers, a glass jar, and matches sit inside. Roll away, momma. You deserve a break from the madness (as well as from the nasty side-effects of your anti-anxiety pills). Your hand begins to spasm as you pull away from the keyboard. There's still so much to write but you can't go on. Your eyes twitch and go dark as the heat from the intense summer sun outside becomes unbearable. As your synapses misfire you call out for your roommate who brings you salvation: an intricate glass piece filled with glittering leafy green goodness. Breathe in, relax, and breathe out. Your nerves calm down, your eyesight returns... another MS attack staved off thanks to your doctor's recommendation. Back to work, kiddo. That Master's thesis isn't going to write itself. Looks like Connecticut's legislature just passed Recreational Cannabis! Now just for Lamont to sign it into law...

One thing to note is that it prohibits employers from firing someone solely based on a positive cannabis test. Some states have protections like that for medical cannabis, but not necessarily for recreational use. I haven't read the full text of the bill yet, but assuming that still would not apply to safety sensitive positions, however.

Congratulations, Alabama patients and caregivers! I hope this all goes smoothly for you. (And, on a selfish note, I hope...

Congratulations, Alabama patients and caregivers! I hope this all goes smoothly for you. (And, on a selfish note, I hope it also allows for reciprocity because I'd really like to more easily visit some of our in-laws up near Huntsville! I'm sure many of your family and friends who are also patients would feel the same way, too!)

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has signed a medical ma*****na bill into law, making it legal for registered patients with qualifying conditions to safely access and use medical cannabis.

I'm trying to set-up my morning routine better now after listening to 's podcast (Episode 3!), and one thing I like to check in the morning is stocks because I'm the one in the house in charge of looking over the bills and other finances. So let's talk about stocks this morning. In particular, the recent merger between Aphria and Tilray and what it did for shareholders.

Who else feels like they should have sold their Aphria shares before the Tilray merger? Had double the money before our Aphria combined down to the lesser amount of shares from Tilray since the merger. 😔 Maybe it will go up? We'll see... At one point it was in the mid-20s but I'd heard about the merger coming and decided to hold. It has hovered around $13-15, however, leading up to the merger, and from the sounds of it we were going to get one full share and a partial. Now that the merger is done, we only have one share now and that just went up to $16.70. However, that means we didn't lose anything in actuality. Literally bought Aphria because we had a little money left in our trading account and it was at $4.20-something a share at the time!

You know, I was saying we were holding onto this just for fun and to buy bud down the road, but after our dog's multiple surgeries and our well dying, we contemplated selling off stocks to pay for those...

Dogecoin, on the other hand... OVER 50 CENTS!? Whaaaaaaaaaaat!? (If I can cover my dog's surgery, at least one, thanks to Doge... that'd be amazing!)

What stocks and crypto are you watching today?

Happy Monday! My for today is to hustle at the shop so I can afford to stock back up on the full line of Day One.'s products. (And pay bills. Bills are good, too.) I ran out of the last of my Black Bar recently and my skin is not happy. Thankfully I still have Biggie Balm for my lips!

How do you decide which strains to order first from the seed bank? Now, THAT is the question.

22/11/2020

Hey Arizona! Who else is getting their grow stuff ready for the start of recreational cannabis here in the state!? If you are, are you preparing just to use it for recreational use or are you a medical patient too close to a dispensary now happy to grow under the new law?) (Or both?) Also, which strains are you most looking forward to grow?

Personally, I cannot wait to grow "Green Cush" (aka "Green Crack") as it is one of the only strains that helps all of my medical issues but yet seems to often be hard to find at dispensaries enough. Other strains I haven't seen in a while but work for me and I'd love to grow are Alaskan Thunder F*ck and Chocolope. There was also something a long, long time ago that we all were calling "Santa Maria" but I have no idea what it was actually called so that one might be hard to find again... 😅 What about you? And are you going the feminized seeds or clone route? Feel free to share below, and some responses may be chosen to be expanded upon for an upcoming Leafleur celebration of all the new state laws out there for recreational and/or medicinal cannabis. Thank you and HAPPY SUNDAZE! 😘

02/09/2020

When I first read that Jim Belushi partly does what he does because he felt his brother would still be alive if medical cannabis were already legal then, I definitely got teary eyed. (If you aren't already following their operation's IG, highly recommend doing so.) How many others could have been saved from self-medicating away the pain? And doing so with drugs that aren't actually helping? Now to read more in this article in People, discussing Jim Belushi's upcoming series about his grow operation and the people behind it, it is even more heart-breaking. They believe John had CTE from football injuries and he even had a seizure at the family home growing up.

Why do you believe in Cannabis Advocacy? Why do you do what you do? For yourself, for your loved ones, for strangers? Feel free to share below. We may ask some responses to be followed up on for the main magazine site so other patients and advocates can hear about it, too. Thank you for your participation and for your continued patience as we re-launch Leafleur.

For your streaming music and the Youtube viewing pleasure during these times: and chill with Clint Stevens - one of our favorite bands to partake (and work remotely) to since seeing them at Sidepony Express Music Festival a while back.

Just had our first confirmed case in our county, but we know there are others out there probably not even tested yet... Stay safe, everyone. Be safe. Hope you are all stocked up on supplies and medication. I know I'm not too huge on every one growing their medical cannabis as their sole means of medicating *only* because so much can go wrong and you might not be able to afford to find out exactly what strength it is and what else is in it, while other people won't have the time/ability/money/area to even do it, but situations like these are also why we DO need to be able to grow as well as have access to safe, tested, quality stuff from companies. Products we couldn't do ourselves. Stock up on what you can, grow the rest if sh*t hits the fan. Don't want anyone getting sick out there for any reason.

They are definitely few and far between! (Kosher Kush the strain does not count - unless it was actually certified, of course. 😘)

Attention All Arizona Medical Ma*****na Patients: Do not forget that our cards are going digital in December! Make sure you verify they have the right e-mail in the state system before the end of the month. You can use this link https://medicalma*****na.azdhs.gov/MyProfile.aspx to check and update your information for no fee.

Even if you think they have the correct e-mail address, make sure to double and triple check just in case. The place we registered with in Tucson actually put the wrong patient's e-mail with the state in my account but luckily they'd sent out an e-mail to all their patients and my e-mail was correct in their in-house system so I was able to update in time.

If you have already applied for a Medical Ma*****na card and currently have this card in your possession, you can use this page to update your contact information: email or phone number. First, enter your card information to validate your identity.

28/09/2019

To quote the article: "Curaleaf also acquired Phytotherapeutics Management Services LLC and will shift its dispensary license in Sierra Vista to a location in southwest Phoenix near Ak-Chin Pavilion, an underserved area for the cannabis industry, according to Curaleaf."

Apparently, Curaleaf believes a county - namely Cochise County - the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island (neighbors to their home state of Massachusetts) only needs two dispensaries to not be "underserved" in relation to "Southwest Phoenix". Sierra Vista - where was located until very recently - is next to Fort Huachuca and home to not only active duty military families but many, many veterans let alone seniors. Appraently, Curaleaf doesn't want to help veterans and seniors, either? Nor all the other sick people this side of the Border Patrol checkpoint zone? Many of whom are now forming groups to try and drive up to Tucson and Phoenix for their medicine - hours and hours away? Something that is very hard for people with chronic pain, seizures, cancer, etc.

Way to go, Curaleaf AZ. You really show how much you're in it for the patients if you consider anywhere near Phoenix and its ridiculous amount of dispensaries "underserved" when compared to the people of Cochise County, AZ. Applause and kudos to you.

With the latest acqusitions, the company now has eight medical ma*****na licenses in Arizona.

What are you up to before bed? We're seshing to some chill music as we wind down and prepare for a busy week ahead. Here's a favorite we first heard thanks to the Sidepony Express Music Festival: Clint Stevens' from . (Available on .)

Personally going on two weeks thanks to a combo of Keto, cannabis, and a new pharma switch! Woo! (The three new strains of live resin we were fortunate enough to get from one of our usual dispensaries didn't hurt, either...)

Hope you are all reaching the milestones you need to feel better, too.

Check this out if you're a patient! Thank you!

It’s the last week of legislative session and lawmakers are doing their best to hurt patients at the very last second! Representative Ray Rodriguez has slipped in the 10% cap on THC in smokeable flower into a budgetary bill that is being heard TODAY by the appropriations committee!!! PLEASE contact our elected officials and tell them that this is not right and we will continue to fight for what is!!!

Here's hoping everyone had a wonderful 4/20 this last weekend, but just because it isn't a holiday anymore doesn't mean there isn't still time to reflect on how far we've come... and also how far we still have to go. Please do not forget about all of those who aren't just in places without any legalization but those who are also serving time for something we're all doing to feel better in some way. Even if your municipality already has cannabis legalization in some form, keep pushing to make it right for everyone.

Legal Immigrants Denied Citizenship for Working in Cannabis Industry | Culture Magazine

The coverage map of legal medicinal and recreational ma*****na may be changing, but the federal laws haven't - affecting those working or partaking in the growing cannabis industries across the country. Read the story of two legal immigrants and Denver, Colorado residents - one from Lithuania, one from El Salvador - whom were both denied their citizenship thanks to their involvement in the legal-in-Colorado industry.

Remember: the federal laws are why it is still illegal to take your medicinal cannabis through federal checkpoints, into national parks, crossing over state lines, and so forth. Banking, transportation, everything is effected by these out-dated laws. Even cross-border travel! For example, did you know the US Government is working with a Canadian Cannabis company for research, yet anyone in Canada that wants to come across our border can be denied entry if they are even just invested in the cannabis industry in Canada let alone were partaking in it for recreational or medicinal use? (And yes, they are shipping Canadian cannabis to CALIFORNIA for study. But that is a whole other post...)

Two Denver, Colorado residents who have been legal U.S. residents for over two years were recently denied citizenship solely based upon their involvement in the cannabis industry.

House bill proposes cannabis card for medical ma*****na in Alabama

Hoping this passes for all you potential Alabama patients. Also hope they consider including reciprocity so visitors with out-of-state medical cards can enjoy the state, too. (I personally would love to be able to visit fam in Huntsville, that is for sure!)

State Rep. Mike Ball, a Republican from Huntsville who is a former ABI agent, on Wednesday introduced House Bill 243 that would legalize medical ma*****na in Alabama.
