🎭Cast and Creatives Profiles: Our Director James Rose
🎭 James Rose is a professional actor and Harley Street therapist. He is the Artistic Director of ‘Be The Actor Within’ London’s only bespoke method acting studio Be The Actor Within. James makes his stage directorial debut with a production of Anton Chekhov’s 'The Seagull' at The Cockpit Theatre. He is also in pre-production on ‘A Winter’s Bloom’, his feature film directorial debut 🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profiles: Vera Horton as Irina 🎭
🎭 Vera Horton came to London in 1998, following the collapse of Soviet Union. She graduated from Belarus State University, holding a Bachelor (hon.) degree in Philosophy, Art and Drama.
Born in a family of artists, Vera started acting from the age of five and was always passionate about period drama and classical theatre. Her acting career resumed in England, when she played Domestic Goddess for Discovery Commercial in 2010.
Since then Vera played Fury Goddess in Oedipus at Colonus, Chorus and Queen Eurydice in Antigone, The Seven Against Thebes, and The Phoenician Women. She played Natasha in Three Sisters, Polina in The Seagull, The Wicked Mother in Cinderella, Mrs Shvonder in The Heart Of A Dog, Gertrude in Hamlet, Gerla in Master and Margarita and Merchutkina in the Wife for Sale show based on Chekhov’s short stories, Katherine The Great , Mrs Box in The Dead Soles, Anna in The Government Inspector, Evdokija in The Chains Of Hatred, acting in Russian and English.
As Voice Over Actress She worked on One Million Educational Software, promotional videos for MAC Cosmetics and Estee Lauder, Voice Over Director for the Google online translator Russian Language.
Russian Community in London knows her as a Director of The Russian Theatre Group Goodge Street 🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profile: Kieran Iyer as Konstantin 🎭
🎭 Kieran Iyer is a British actor of mixed heritage originally from Birmingham and now residing in London. As well as a brief appearance on Sky Atlantic’s Britannia, he has appeared in theatre productions around London at venues such as The Etcetera Theatre in Camden, The White Bear Theatre in Kennington and The Park Theatre in London. He has also acted in several short films such as 'STUNG', 'Submission', ‘Let Me Do the Talking’, 'The Interview' and '5000 years', as well as undertaking training at Be the Actor Within for the past three years under the tutelage of James Rose and at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio in London. This is Kieran’s first performance at The Cockpit Theatre. Kieran is represented by Paul Byram Associates. He is also the founder and director of Ithaca Productions. Prior to his acting career, Kieran studied Classics at The University of Nottingham, as well as completing the Legal Practice Course and holding an LLM in International Law.🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profile: Maria Finlay as Nina 🎭
🎭Maria is an actress from South West London. She has experience in theatre, short films, television and animation. Previous theatre credits include 'Abigail' in The Crucible, 'Hermione' in The Winter's Tale, 'Martha' in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and the lead role of 'Chloe' in Six Cold Feet at Hampton Hill Playhouse. She also has Six short film credits to her name including 'Barren', 'Confessional' and 'To the Rescue'. Her latest credit is the leading role in Chris Younes' Stop Motion Animation "Masked". She has trained at several schools with various teachers across London, most notably with James Rose at Be The Actor Within and Mel Churcher. She is delighted to have secured the role of Nina, as this has been a dream of hers since she first read Chekhov's work. Maria is currently self-represented 🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profile: Thom Sonny Green as Boris 🎭
🎭Thom Sonny Green, perhaps best known for playing drums in the band alt-J, is also an electronic music producer, a visual artist, and now making his debut in acting. Green was born and raised in North Yorkshire before attending Leeds University for a degree in Fine Art. In 2012 alt-J won the Mercury Music Prize and the Ivor Novello for their first album An Awesome Wave, which was followed by two further albums This is All Yours (2014) and Relaxer (2017). Green released his own solo electronic album High Anxiety in 2016, exploring his more introspective interests through sound. Stemming from his love of film, Green conceded to a growing curiosity for method acting and enrolled in a class with James Rose at Be The Actor Within in November 2018. He has studied under Rose since, and will make his first appearance acting in the Chekhov play The Seagull at The Cockpit Theatre in London 🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profile: Deip Patel as Eugene
🎭 Deip Patel is a British Indian actor, based in London. He has trained as an actor at Be The Actor Within for over 4 years. His stage debut was last year, at The Cockpit, amongst other theatres. Taramandal (Aks Arts Theatre Group) saw him take on multiple roles. Further previous experience includes appearing in a Met Film School short film, co-presenting a pop culture series for Sony TV Asia, and being part of a Bollywood dance troupe, performing at corporate events, weddings, exhibitions, music videos and on television (Semi-finalists - Britain’s Got Talent) 🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profiles: Tessa Ryan as Simone 🎭
🎭Tessa Ryan is an actress from London with Irish heritage. She has worked in Theatre and Arts education throughout her career. Having trained and worked for many years with Chickenshed Theatre as an actor, singer, choreographer and education facilitator. She has performed in many large and studio productions with Chickenshed. From Shakespeare to theatre for the under 5’s, she is a versatile actor and performer. She went on to gain a BA (hons) in Devised Theatre with Choreographic Practices from the world renowned Dartington College of Arts in Devon. She has written, directed and performed in several solo and collaborative Theatre projects and has a wide range of experience. Performing at theatres and arts venues in London, Devon, Cornwall and Canada. She has been a member of Be The Actor Within for the past two years, refocussing and deepening her craft of acting, as she is now focusing on her career as an actor. She has gained film experience acting in short independent and student films over the past two years 🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profile: Sara Dee as Paulina 🎭
🎭With a front credit on her first feature, Chasing Dreams and a year of national press attention working at Pinewood with Sir Norman Wisdom as his co-star in Adam and Evil Sara Dee’s career was launched.
On stage, Sara’s portrayal of a do******ix, in Satisfaction Guaranteed, was nominated for a national award before she was cast among British stars at The Royal Court Theatre, in Jez Butterworth's The Night Heron, directed by Ian Rickson.
Sara has starred in many new plays in London Fringe theatres including Deborah - The Song Of Deborah (Lion & Unicorn Theatre), Ava Bree - End Of the Night (The White Bear) and Jane Burdock - The Supper Party (OSO Barnes), as well as playing Kristina Lynde - The Dolls House (Rosemary Branch), Diana - Absent Friends ( Tabard Theatre), Queen Ann e- The Three Musketeers (The Dolphin Gardens exterior venues) and Mrs Page -JM Barrie’s Rosalind (Rosemary Branch)
The Broadcaster ‘Sadie Broad’ in the feature Jim's Gift marked Sara’s National TV debut. Roles as ‘Margaret Rawlins’ in Lynda La Plante's The Commander (ITV) and ‘Lady Hysteria’ in Andy Wilson's BBC feature film Riot At The Rite soon followed.
Sara’s theatrically released film appearances include; Room 36 (Jim Groom), Prevenge (Alice Lowe), Cute Little Buggers & Dawning Of The Dead (Tony Jopia) and 2019 releases: Borley Rectory (Ashley Thorpe) and Peter Strickland's In Fabric. Sara's voice acting features on may films including the first six Ben Wheatley films, most noticeably voicing three characters on Sightseers and four on High-Rise.
Sara also stars in notable shorts including Martin Pavey’s thriller Flash Back, that provoked BAFTA luminaries to suggest Sara as a candidate for their 'Rising Star Award' the multi award winning ‘15’ and the 35mm’café D’ Paris’ that marked her Cannes debut 🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profiles: Lucien Morgan as Peter 🎭
🎭 Lucien Morgan started as a child actor working for the BBC. He has since worked in Theatre, Radio Television and Films
In the nineties he presented his own show, The Lucien Zone which ran for a year in Live TV. His favourite part played was Timothy Haldane a Literary Agent in Last Will and Testament at the Kings Head Theatre.
Recent feature film credits include: Colonel Wessex in Vampire Resurrection, Lord Victor Stanbury in Witch, Coed in Fir, Vladimir Ivan Nestorovic in the Hand and Cult of the Cult Saphire and Snow White (a very evil gangster) in Three KIngs.
This year Lucien played British Ambassador Sir Maurice Chatsworth in This is Not About You and Dr Ian Stones in Shadow Parties.
Chief Inspector Robert Dorchester in Sister Sister and Colonel Waldren in Warsaw Station. In December and January he will be reviving two favourite stage roles at Theatro Technis playing Karenin in Ana Karenina and Liutentant Colonel Vershinnin in The Three Sisters 🎭

🎭Cast and Crew Profiles: Jessica Gares as Masha
🎭Jessica Gares is a Canadian actor who graduated from Vancouver Film School’s Acting for Film and Television Program. She continued her training in Toronto and worked there commercially as well as in theatre. She is currently based in London where she is a founding member of the Odds and Ends Theatre Company, creating and acting in various theatre and film productions. She is excited to be a part of The Seagull with such a talented group of artists!🎭

🎭Cast and Creatives Profile: Izzy Carney: Stage Manager: 🎭
🎭 Izzy Carney is a recent 1st Class BA honours graduate from the University of Reading. Alongside her degree she has worked on multiple creative projects a Stage Manager, having experience with pantomime groups (Quince Players 2018) and within professional stage management departments, most recent being The Royal Opera House.
