I invite you to join Community Action Team in providing services for Columbia county Veterans at the Columbia County Veterans Stand Down Event. Columbia county has approximately six thousand veterans according to 2011 Oregon.gov statistics. American Community Services estimates that there are 1,980 very low income veterans in Columbia county and based on county specific service data, we estimate 2

61 homeless veterans in the four county region. The purpose of this Stand Down is tri-fold, 1)to bring much needed services to the veterans who would otherwise not have access to them 2) to make veterans aware of what services are available to them within the community as well as the Veterans Affairs and 3) to bring awareness to Columbia county of the need associated with our Veterans.
