There were some kids playing with Yana outside while she was with her dad. Then, a family passed by carrying a load of eggs and other items. I often see this family outside our place when they walk by. They look almost ragged—there seem to be six siblings.

One of the girls playing with Yana earlier said,
“Ney, Kasano da nakagatang ti itlog ket awan met kwarta da.”
(How did they buy those eggs if they have no money?)

Where else would children learn but from their parents?

I hope we can teach our children to have empathy for everyone.

“Kailan kaya sya kakain on her own?”

Naka-ilang tanong din ako nito.
Imagine, sakit na likod mo kakasubo sa kanya, ayaw pa din.
Tapos ang hirap pa-pabigatin ng timbang. Umay na nga si pedia kakasabi sakin ng “mommy, pakain mo mabuti si baby.” Hahaha! Lagi kong sagot, “Doc, ilang beses ko po yan pinapakain. Pero ang hirap pa din. Huhu!
8 mos. nung nag try kami mag BLW. Shaks! Ang hirap. Para syang mabubulunan.
May one time binigyan ko ng apple 🍎, nakow. Na-trauma naman ako. Napa-heimlich maneuver ako dahil na-choke na sya. Kaya sabi ko, subo na lang para “safe”. She’ll eventually learn it naman.

Bakit ba tayo nag mamadali matutunan nila kumain on their own?
Wala namang competition, diba?

Then, from time to time, blw muna sya during meal time, pag ayaw na nya tsaka ko susubuan. Pero wala talaga kaya during meal time nya need namin si Ms. Rachel, Ms. Catie, Ms. Cece, minsan si Blippi 😂

Timbang nya? Ganun pa din. Magaan pa din.

Then nung nag 16 mos sya. Sabi ko, umay na tayo self. Haha!
Bigyan mo ng food. No gadgets. Hayaan mo sya.

Then boom! ☺️ finally!

Maubos man or hindi. It’s okay. Atleast, napakain nya sarilin nya on her own and pace.

Baka kaya ayaw nya ng sinusubuan sya kasi mabilis din ako magpakain. Kaya ayun, daming tira lagi.

We are good now! Yehey.
Sabi ko nga sa itay, ang sarap sa feeling na kumakain na sya mag isa. Nahugutan ako ng tinik hahaha! No more pagod.

Need lang talaga sabayan sya mag eat.

Kaya, mommies….
Wag mag worry.

Walang competition. Wag ma-pressure.
