I'm 25 years old, originally from Manitoulin Island, ON but currently living in Sudbury, ON. I've always loved social media, design, planning, and getting to be creative - which I was lucky enough to turn into a career! Not everyone needs daily content creation, not every business needs an e-commerce website, and not every business needs to be on every platform. I can custom-tailor my services and abilities to best meet the needs of your business, organization, or nonprofit! This includes:

It may seem like there are too many platforms out there to understand and manage... and that's because there are.

You don't need to be on every single platform in order to be successful with your social media. Trying to manage every platform will burn you out, and the quality of your content will suffer. Your online presence also depends heavily on engagement, and it is very difficult to engage authentically with your audience if you are spread too thin.

Instead, find the platforms that work best for your industry and business, and focus your time and energy there.

Yes. It does.

Social media management really doesn't have much to do with the posting itself. An effective social media presence actually requires a LOT of research and planning. This planning is done to ensure there is a good variety of content, important dates or events don't get missed, the content is relevant to the audience, and that it is tailored to that individual business or organization.

While this takes a lot of time, it is incredibly important to ensure that your online presence is dynamic and engaging.

This 👇 is probably one of the most common things said to me by new clients, prospective clients, and even family and friends! They already made a page for their business, and now they're stuck. Either they feel like they don't really need anything else, or they don't even know where to begin. Sound like you? 🤔

So... now what? Well, as you might expect, it depends! Every business is different. For some, Facebook might not be enough! Maybe you need a solid LinkedIn profile, or maybe you should be showcasing products on Instagram, or maybe you should be creating video content on Tik Tok! It's all about what works for YOUR business and YOUR goals. 📈

One thing is for sure, though. It isn't enough to just HAVE a social media page. Your online presence needs to be like your "real-life" presence - active, engaging, and consistent!

Hi everyone! 👋

Some of you may remember me & my freelancing business, but allow me to re-introduce myself!

My name is Carolyn, I'm 25 years old and born and raised on beautiful Manitoulin Island, currently living in Sudbury, ON.

Back in 2020, while completing my undergraduate degree, I decided to try out freelance marketing and social media management for some local businesses. I really enjoyed getting to know local businesses and organizations but stepped back to focus on completing my schooling. I took on the odd side project, but for the most part, I was not taking on any clients.

In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Business Administration specializing in Marketing and Human Resources. In 2023, I pursued a graduate certificate in Community & Social Services Management.

I have been in full-time roles since, but realized that I definitely miss part-time freelancing! I am currently opening myself up to part-time clients for social media management, content/creation & design, Wix web design/management, and other services. As I am still working in a full-time capacity, I will not be able to take on any full-time or larger-scale clients at this time.

However, if you are simply needing someone to keep your online presence up to date and help you muddle through the confusion of all the social media possibilities (without hiring full-time marketing staff!) - I could be a great fit for you! My name is Carolyn Glasby, and I am a student currently pursing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) specializing in Marketing at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario. As a small town girl from Manitoulin Island, I’ve watched a lot change in Northern Ontario over the past few years.

There’s a common misconception that there’s nothing here - no jobs, few ‘real’ businesses, and a sluggish economy - when that simply isn’t the truth. While I’ve watched many organizations thrive, I’ve also noticed an opening and need for a little help... and that’s where I come in.
