entitlement. We went through a pandemic and they put their lives on the line for you, they save people’s lives every day, and this is what we are doing? Okay, if you have never been to any other hospital I have and I’ll tell you what. Every hospital you go to has a several hour wait, if you can wait then you’ll wait. Every where has grumpy workers sometimes, they’re people too and if you only seen how bad they are treated sometimes.Stop expecting to be treated nice especially if you’re being rude to them. And every where has bad food, what do you expect for free food? If you keep biting the hand that feeds you there will be no one left for when you really need it. Complaining on Facebook doesn’t do anything except hate on people we expect to save us. Gimme a break.

I was in the emergency when I was maybe 17 or 18 years old. Due to a few concerns the nurses decides to put an IV in my hand, I have pretty bad anxiety and was very anxious about the needle and wanted it out. After a friend and i expressed wanting the iv out PLENTY of times the nurse finally gave in. She acted in frustration and roughly grabbed my hand and almost felt like she was yanking it out. That interaction as a whole is completely unprofessional and had more bad experiences with nurses later on.

I was 14 with a bone fracture and the doctor prescribed me narcotics. I wasn’t allowed to take them but still, why would you prescribe percs and morphine to a 14 year old kid? The healthcare system is ridiculous.

As a healthcare professional who works each day to provide care to residents of the NWT and generally does my best to deliver the best possible services we can within a system of limited resources this page is both damaging to our work and to my ability to continue to care for residents. Things like this are driving healthcare providers away from the north and reducing care and making things worse. We are bound by patient privacy laws so when someone comes forward with a complaint even if it's not true or only half the story, we can't tell our side. People can be abusive, verbally or physically, and complain about our care and services and they get to throw mud at us, but we are unable to tell our side. Nobody is gathering the good news stories, it's a shame. The reality is I can work anywhere in Canada, and things like this make the decision to consider not working here a lot easier.

Get your medical records I strongly recommend. Once I received mine I was so disgusted of the improper information in my file, the gossip of nurses, receptionist and doctors. I was labelled a drug seeker and narcotics abuser. * says I belong to a drug seeking group. I have had multiple surgeries and I was taking pain meds I never abused or sold any. I brought is up to our MLA had a meeting with * and Quality assurance from the hospital I showed them all my meds said it’s s there count it. Nothing was done so I went the privacy commissioner’s in YK was a long process but I got 80% of nonsense removed from my medical file like even my husband’s name was in my file I was so mad. If I had the money I’d sue for slandering me as they have no reason to judge me. I do not deal with the medical clinic no more been 4 years now.

HR Hospital is full of people that don't care about the health and well being of the patients. It's borderline criminal and something should really be done. They literally send people away that have serious problems that need immediate attention. They don't believe what people are telling them. It's seems like it mainly the nurses there so intitled and catty. (NOT ONLY NURSES IN HR THAT INTITLED AND CATTY, ITS HR LOL NOT NYC YOU FOOLS!!!) Someone is going to die and maybe that's what it's going to take for change which is extremely sad.

Nothing is confidential and the best part is no one seems to give a **** . People that work their blab there big mouths all over town making fun of people that are sick and are extremely dismissive of people. I'm sure there are staff at the hospital you can trust, who they are no one knows. For the most part they are all blabbering mouth and should be ashamed of themselves.
