ACTOR REVEAL #4: TUXFORD TURNER

Tuxford Turner (tux/t/they/them) is a nonbinary actor, writer, comedian, and filmmaker based out of Chicago, Illinois. A compulsive creator, Tuxford’s primary drive is in supporting stories that bring communities together through laughter and representation.

Tuxford’s current passion projects include a mix of production, performance, and community development. Tux has a crop of short films and series projects in various stages of production and development that center the stories of trans* and q***r artists. T is proud to currently serve as the Managing Director for “Chicago Made Shorts,” an online platform founded by Producer Imani Davis in October of 2020 as an accessible space for Chicago Filmmakers to exhibit their short films, and as a Co-Founding Bellhop for the Hotel Artistic Collective with Ms. Davis and Director Jamie Kreppein. Hotel is a community focused on creative and moral support for artists through and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic. For updates on all of these projects as they roll out, follow on Instagram or check out TuxfordTurner.com.

Tux can be most recently seen in the short film “Neighbors,” on the platform, “They Wore Flowers in Their Hair,” on OpenTV, and the experimental comedy web series “The Quarantine Project,” self-produced for Tuxford’s IGTV and Youtube pages during the early stages of the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic."
