I just pushed out an episode highlighting the improvements, evolution and modernization of the and how it has improved marksmanship as a whole throughout the Marine Corps. I talked about the purpose of the team and how they came to be.

The traditional shooting sports do nothing for the preparation of Marines in combat besides just teaching them the mechanics of shooting. We need to be better than what we were.

Tradition is peer pressure from the dead!

In this episode, Matt Gundlach and Adam Majors explore the deeper aspects of personal growth, especially for veterans. They discuss the value of confronting uncomfortable emotions in a sober, intentional way and techniques to help process such feelings. Adam elaborates on the symbolic meaning of Polyphemus in mythology and its connection to the human psyche and the journey of Odysseus. The conversation touches on the necessity of conflict for transformation, especially in veterans who face a new kind of internal struggle after military service. The episode also highlights The Battle Within, a nonprofit supporting veterans, and its program The Revenant Journey, which offers structured, evolving paths to healing. In this episode, i had the pleasure of sitting down with

Karen and I first started talking back in 2021 when I was still on the Marine Corps Shooting Team. She approached me about writing an article about the gear that I use and what we do on the shooting team. Needless to say, this was my first time ever being interviewed for a magazine article, and for those in the military, we know how the press are portrayed. Karen made the whole process extremely comfortable, and when the product was finished, I was in shock. She’s an intelligent and eloquent writer who has a passion for coaching and mentoring shooters and covering all things 2A space.
