After Inktober I wanted to paint a portrait and ended up with this monstrosity (in a good way).

Inspired by the great John Blanche and his fantastic 40 k concepts.

For those of you that do not follow me over on Instagram I'm almost all the way through Inktober at day 24. I believe I will be able to get them all done this year. It's been a lot of fun so far. Most are rather quickly done but I feel like they have really allowed me to be creative and focus on actually make something quick and unrestrained instead of focusing on trying to make it "perfect". 😊Hope you like them and that you will like the rest of the prompts coming up!

Tried my hand at three point perspective for practice. This was very much out of my comfort zone. I'm happy with the feeling of the painting and feel like I've learned a bit along the way.

Inspired by the photos of Norilsk by Elena Chernyshova.

Happy friday everyone! Hope you will have a great weekend. Here is a sketch of a landsknecht. No doubt inspired by my trip to Visby and Medieval week. I'm currently practicing characters and achieving an "ink" style in digital form for a project that is in the works.

Good morning Facebook! I have some new art for you this fine Saturday!

This piece started as a study, trying to learn more about painting metal and armour. It escalated and soon it was obvious that it would become more than just a quick study.

Inspired by some of my favourite designs such as Warhammer and the Nilfgaardians in The Witcher video game series as well as historical armour from Germany and Italy during the the 15th-16th century.

What's this? A second post in a week?

Finished HBO's "Last of Us" a couple days ago and had to do a quick portrait of Pedro Pascal as Joel. Might do another painting of Ellie at some point. If you haven't seen Last of Us yet do yourself a favour and watch it! :)

First post in a while! Been very busy with work and other projects some of which I am unable to show on social media.

Today I had a day off and wanted to paint a portrait just for me. Hope you enjoy it! :)

"Sorrow"

Another portrait, this time of an older gentleman. Done with my new Wacom Cintiq. Love the change in having an actual screen to draw on and the level of control it gives me. This is most likely the last piece I'll complete before the holidays but I'm looking forward to doing more art as soon as possible! :)

"Welcome to the Coven"

"Drums and horns echo as the shadows of the bonfire dances across the canopy above and the forest floor below. A young girl enters the circle of light and fire. The elders know she is ready to join them..."

I've been working on this piece for a while. Very happy to finally upload it. Inspired by the musical talents of Heilung and Wardruna. Hope you like it! :)

A portrait, it seems they are the easiest paintings to get done at the moment. :)
