AXIE CLASSES
6 NORMAL CLASSES
REPTILE
The Reptile Axie is a great tank of off-tank, because of high base HP and Speed. Their cards are quite special, allowing a high variety of abilities and debuff potential. To compensate, they have a more limited damage potential.
AQUATIC
Each Aquatic card will give the Axie an additional 3 Speed and 1 HP. Playing Aquatic class cards will give an additional 10% damage bonus, but you are not limited to using only Aquatic class cards.
With high Speed and good HP the Aquatic Axie is incredibly versatile. An Aquatic Axie can be a good Off-tank with, because of high base HP and cards like Sponge. However, because of high Speed and cards like Perch and Piranha the Aquatic Axie can also be a very high damage backdoor Attacker.
BIRD
The high Speed and Morale of the Bird Axie makes it a great choice for the role of “Attacker”. An “Attacker” Axie has at least 2 high damage cards (100+ damage) and they sacrifice survivability for high damage output. Often they are set up with 4 high damage cards, or 3 high damage cards with one card that allows the Bird to attack the backline.
PLANT
The Plant class is found in nearly every Axie team. Their ability to absorb a high amount of damage, while also gaining Energy and destroying the opponent’s energy, makes this a Plant an easy choice when choosing your team setup.
BUG
The Bug class is hardly ever seen in an Axie team setup. Most their cards score low on the Card Tier List. The Bug class has a lot of cards that apply Debuffs upon use.
BEAST
Beasts are strong against: Reptile, Plant, Dusk
Beasts are weak against: Aquatic, Bird, Dawn
Each Beast card will give the axie an additional 3 Morale and 1 Speed. Playing Beast class cards will give an additional 10% damage bonus, but you are not limited to using only Beast class cards.
3 SECRET CLASSES
DUSKS
Have a lot of HP and speed making them a great tank and move priority making them better than other slower tanks. They take split damage as they are reptile and aqua. They can also use reptile and aqua cards with same type damage bonus. I like to use them as a bruiser secondary which can shield and attacking, wasting their cards and maximizing your cards utility. Bruisers are high health and shield, damage champs.
DAWNS
Have no “weak” stat other than morale. They also have no “strong” role that makes them fit a specific role. They are well balanced and therefore have no real/clear role. That is why no one uses them in PVP. I believe they can be in a unique role, similar to the bruiser, yet sneakier because of how underutilized they are. They will be able to tank shots while also doing enough damage to burst down their dps person mid game. These currently do not have great PVP utility, although I am finding close to 50% win rate at 1900–2000 with a Plant, Dawn, Mech combo. In the future, especially land gameplay, I believe dawns will have buffs that others will not be able to access. Similar to all special classes, they have two natures, not one, and therefore will be more valuable.
MECHS
Mechs are the Beasts and Bugs, meaning high damage and tricky cards. They lose their morale bonus (redeemed through body part stats), and have extremely high skill. Skill makes your combo attacks do better, which is extremely useful with move priority. Mechs move fast and do damage, making them ideal for a dps or tricky, tank counter. I have one a beast like dps mech. I think bug mechs will be upcoming for their PVP utility.
