Heart of America Christian Writers Network (HACWN) Our goal is to help writers network and develop their skills. We're based in Kansas City, but we have members all over the United States. HACWN.org

We started in 1989 to help writers learn to write for publication, and to help them network with editors and others. Our organization includes people from beginning writers to award winners; newbies to those who've been published for decades. We offer monthly educational meetings, critique groups in different parts of the city, annual conferences, mentoring retreats, community education classes, e-mail marketing leads, monthly newsletter, and more! For more information, see www.

I've written a lot of "tortured" poetry in my life, but I don't think I've ever looked like this. If you need help with your poetry, or other writing, check out one of our critique groups--First and Third Thursday of every month. One in person on the East side of metro KC (1 p.m.) and one online (7 p.m.).

Don't let your writing tie you in knots.
