“Opportunity Knocks But Once” - ancient proverb
Sadly, this means Pod Kas will have to take a short break for a few months until I get back to Dubai and reassemble my studio. This #podcast has been my one true hobby and #passion project as an adult - it will be very tough to step away from it temporarily, even after only 27 episodes since I started it in September 2020 (below are some snippets)
Fortunately, the #opportunity that I had to seize somewhat abruptly is an extremely positive one and it’ll mean that Pod Kas will be back new and improved.
Until then, you can still enjoy these 👇🏻 chats from the archive on YouTube or any podcast streaming platform. All these episodes are timeless in terms of content and insights, in fact, many are more relevant today than ever before (e.g episodes about #crypto & #stocks, #investing & #trading, #mentalhealth, #entrepreneurship, etc.)
It’s been an absolute pleasure meeting awesome people from different walks of life, learning about new stuff, connecting with old friends and just enjoying raw, unfiltered chats with no inhibitions. I’m extremely grateful to every guest that came on and helped me become a better conversationalist, it was an absolute blast hanging out with you 🙌🏻

Not all heroes wear capes 🦸🏻♂️ some wear diving gear 🤿 & save tangled-up turtles 🐢 from drowning in the sea.
Here are some snippets from my #podcast with Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, who’s on a lifelong mission to save the world’s #oceans 🌊.
He co-founded Seafood Souq to address global challenges across the #seafood #supplychain, which is the business that he runs alongside the positions he holds in the UAE #government as a member of the Royal Family.
In this episode of Pod Kas, we discuss these topics and many more including perspectives on the #UAE and the #arabworld, why companies fail and succeed, and how #parents should think entrepreneurially about the #education of their kids in an increasingly unpredictable world.
It was an absolute pleasure catching up with you after more than 10 years, Fahim. Thanks a lot for taking the time (and for the impromptu therapy session you gave me on my own existential crisis😅). Looking forward to seeing you again soon dude👊🏻

Start your #weekendvibes 🎵with the debut of “Traveler” by Earlybird, which she played masterfully on her #ableton Push live on Pod Kas with Yaz (#nostalgia alert for those of us who grew up to old #arabicmusic).
This is the 1st time I host a #musician and the 1st time I get a live performance on my #podcast - to say that it was a special and refreshing session would be an understatement.
On that note, Dana and I discussed the importance of having “1st times” throughout any personal or professional #journey and how to turn existential challenges into #growth opportunities. Dana was told the chronic injury to both her hands would take her musical #career away. Instead, her resilience and tenacity against all odds led her to turn a debilitating medical obstacle into a serendipitous detour in her musical journey (and to discover a nifty approach to playing the #guitar 🎸)
More on the story behind her newest track "Traveler" and Dana’s journey in musicianship in the full episode (link in bio, link also below 👇in the comments section).

Do you listen to win 💪🏻, listen to fix 🛠️ or listen to understand 🧏🏻? More on that in the clip below.
It was an absolute pleasure having Bechara Abi Assi on my #podcast and I'm glad we became friends on the spot. Bechara is a #Coach, a facilitator and an independent Consultant who previously worked at McKinsey & Company between 2008 - 2019.
In this candid episode, we discuss how to approach personal #growth and navigate between different modalities, the art of listening, the impact of our childhoods and environments on our wellness, and other related topics. We also exchanged perspectives on the #ManagementConsulting industry based on our past & current experiences.

#16 with Yazan Barghuthi
"Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks"
The cheeky Satoshi Nakamoto included this headline from The Times in the very 1st block mined on #Bitcoin’s blockchain. It's important to be reminded of Bitcoin's ingenuity and why the world needs hard money, especially In this weekend’s carnage.
This was one of my favorite podcast episodes with Yazan Barghuthi who raised $30 million during the ICO craze in 2017. Today, Yazan and his Co-Founder Talal Tabbaa are building Traunch.Finance to bring collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) on chain. They're also Co-Founders at CoinMENA, which I used earlier today to buy the dip.
Yazan is also a dear friend from high-school and the reason I started buying crypto 4 years ago (thanks Abul Zooz, I owe you a Fly Frog NFT).
In this episode recorded just last week, we discuss a bunch of stuff including:
- The dark world of #crypto (with some fun real life examples)
- #NFTs & the #metaverse
- #Bitcoin versus Alt Coins; digital scarcity (or lack thereof), misallocation of capital & technical limitations for smart contracts
- ‘Inverse Ponzi' - Olympus DAO (DeFi hacks)
- History and importance of 'hard' money
- Consensus mechanisms & the trilemma of #blockchains
- Conspiracy theories in crypto
We even got into mind-bending mathematics as we discussed the race over Bitcoin hash power (did you know there’s countable infinity, and UNCOUNTABLE infinity?)
