About a year ago I had a conversation with a good friend around the work I do with athletes. He was telling me how that he wished their was someway we could learn from our highest performers around their mental processes on and off the field. He encouraged me to find a way to make this information known and accessible so anyone could learn from them.
This was the genesis of the Head Noise podcast. We often see people doing incredible things, but don't get an opportunity to peel back the layers and actually find out what makes them successful from a mental and emotional perspective. Head Noise takes us into this part of performance and gives it the attention it deserves.
On the first episode I interview arguably the fastest bowler in world cricket. Though revered in this part of the world, Lockie Ferguson showed how good he is by being the second leading wicket taker at the 2019 Cricket World Cup. He was a key member of the New Zealand Team who lost a heartbreaking and historic final.
We discuss this final, his love of Moro bars and his tendency to have some of the worst debuts you could imagine. I hope this will be insightful and enjoyable interview and the first of many.
Will be on itunes asap but here is a link to this episode, download and let me know your thoughts
