Srinagar, June 1(KNH): Senior Trade Leader & Social Activist Fayaz Bhat had While strongly condemning the killing of a Hindu teacher in Kulgam.
Fayaz Bhat said killing of innocent people benefits only the enemies of peace and people of all sections of society must come forward to stop this vicious cycle of violence.
Urging the government to identify and punish the perpetrators of these killings he expressed heartfelt condolences with the victim families.
There can be no condemnation strong enough to condemn such killings,” he said while urging the government to start a dialogue & prevail peace in the region.

Arsh institute of health, Science & technology held facilitation ceremony for covid warriors in Khamov Srinagar.
Srinagar: The Administration of Arsh institute of health, Science & technology of Kashmir felicitated the COVID-19 warriors of the institute on Saturday their efforts in helping control the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Arsh Chairman honoured all the COVID-19 warriors & the health students, including the professors of health Faculty and the doctor Students representing many hospitals at the district levels, with certificates, awards, and mementos.
Speaking on the occasion the Anwar Khan said, "Performing COVID treatment while wearing protective gear is a tedious task. The health workers well-deserve the felicitation for fulfilling their job daily from dusk till dawn."
Anwar Khan said, "We are really grateful to the LG Administration for his support."
This felicitation will play a crucial role in the career of these upcoming doctors as it will provide them the dual benefits-- one, it will encourage them to do more and even better; two, the experience of working for 2-3 years during a pandemic will help their promotions in the field," said Khan.
Warning that the pandemic is not yet over, the Chairman of Arsh also said, "Until and unless the World Health Organization (WHO) or the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recommends, one should not assume that the pandemic is over." He added

Srinagar, Apr 13, KNT: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party leader Jeelani Kumar has resigned from the post of District Secretary Srinagar.
Jeelani Kumar in a statement said that though he has resigned from the party post, but he will continue to work for the Apni Party.
“I have not resigned from the party but from the post of district secretary Srinagar only,” he said adding that he will try his best to project the Apni Party in Haba Kadal Constituency. (KNT)

Srinagar: Muslims offer Jumma prayers on first Friday of Ramzan
Muslim devotees today offered Jumma prayers on first Friday of Ramzan. Ramzan, the month of fasting, commenced has recently started. Religious activity associated with the month was very much visible as devotees attended the special prayers at various mosques. The special prayers held in the evenings will continue till the end of Ramzan.
Ramzan is the Islamic month of prayers and fasting. They refrain from eating and drinking during the day, which, according to Islamic faith, is meant to teach them patience, spirituality, humility, and submissiveness to Allah.
Muslims believe Ramzan to be auspicious, as it is the month in which the first verses of the "Quran" were revealed to Prophet Mohammed.
Government on Friday granted status equivalent to Minister of State (MoS) in favour of Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson, J&K Waqaf Board.

Attack on labourers against humanity: Social Activist Fayaz Bhat
Srinagar, Apr 04 : Social Activist Fayaz Bhat has condemned the attack on non-locals labourers in Pulwama and termed the attack as un human.
In a statement, He termed the attack as an inhuman and an act of cowardice aimed at disturbing peace in Kashmir.
It reads that attack is aimed at trying to create an atmosphere of fear and panic among the non-locals.
“There can be no justification of such acts which are against humanity. No words of sympathy can compensate for the loss his family has borne today,” it reads.

Pathankot duo injured in Pulwama militant attack
Pulwama, April 3, KNT: Two non-locals sustained injuries after suspected militants fired upon them in Nowpora Litar village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Police sources said that militants fired upon the duo at around 7:10 pm. They said the duo identified as Surinder Singh son of Bishan Singh and Dheeraj Dut son of Susheel Dut, both residents of Pathankot Punjab were shifted to District hospital Pulwama.
A doctor at Pulwama hospital told KNT that Surinder Singh had suffered a bullet injury in the chest and was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar. He said Dheeraj Dut is undergoing treatment in Pulwama hospital and he has sustained bullet injuries in the leg.
Police, Army, and CRPF rushed to the spot after the incident. They launched a search operation that was underway till the filing of this report. (KNT)

Srinagar April 2: KTMF Senior vice president & social activist Fayaz Bhat has felicitated people especially Muslim Ummah on the occasion of holly month of Ramadan . He has prayed that the holly month of Ramadan may prove harbinger of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued on Saturday ,Fayaz Bhat has asked the people to observe fasts in true spirit and seek blessings of the Allmighty during night prayers of Taraweeh. He has urged for providing , moral and monetary assistance to the needy people especially orphans ,widows ,destitut and handicapped persons .
Fayaz Bhat has urged the government to make all the required arrangements for smooth celebration of ensuing holly month of Ramadan .
In a statement issued on Saturday Fayaz Bhat said that the forthcoming holly month of Ramadan is the most sacred month of Muslim community throughout the world adding that government should ensure un- interrupted supply of power , drinking water and essential commodities . He said street lighting system in lanes and around various mosques and shrines need to be further improved for convenience of the devotees to offer prayers during night hours especially at Sehri time .
KTMF leader has urged the administration to intensify market checking to keep prices of various essential commodities under check . " Strict action should be taken against black marketeers and hoarders who indulge in unscrupulous trade and business ," Fayaz Bhat added
