3DO was the most powerful console at the time (1993). But at the same time you had the "astronomical asking price" (699$ = 1462$ in 2023 value) and lack of decent exclusives.

More action than survival horror. Dino crisis 2 (2000) on PS1 is more a shooter than its prequel. Well at least it has dinosaurs.

Sega Nomad was a handheld that played MD games and was only released in the NA. Lousy screen and battery time, but really good AV-output to TV. Also a controller port for player 2.

Ouya tried to do a revolution with its Android-OS and cheap price (99$). It made video game history by being the first console funded with Kickstarter. Piracy example killed it.

Yes. Sega made a console for Japan Airlines originally. You could rent Mega Jet for during your flight. You can play Mega Drive games with and it was the base for Sega Nomad.

Amstrads only try for console markets. Amstrad GX4000 is a cartridge based system that was not enough and too late. They only made 15 000 systems. It had only 27 games.

Atari Lynx was the only handheld made by Atari and the first one to have colors. Good technology (nickname pocket-Amiga) but too expensive and huge. Lost to Nintendo and Sega.

Sharp released Twin Famicom in 1986. It combined Famicon with Famicom Disk System into one shell. Much nicer package than having all those cables connecting systems.

Sega Tower Of Power was the biggest competitor to Nintendo. Image wasn't as family friendly in the west and the marketing was legendary. I still enjoy Sega more than Nintendo.

SuperGrafx was a successor to the PC Engine. True 16-bit console that only had five games. Luckily it also plays PCE games. The game prices were high and maybe the reason why it failed.

A handheld that only needs one 1,5v battery. It was cheap and had also long battery life. About 3,5 million units were sold in Japan and it was Nintendos biggest competitor before GBA.

Sega does what Nintendon't. Game Gear was cheaper than many of its competitors. The games were Master System quality, but the problem was lousy battery life. People like to mod these.

Behind the 1st drawer we find one of the fails of Commodore company. Amiga CD32 tried to enter console markets, but it didn't go well. It basically had mostly ported games. Good system still.

Can we fix it? Oh yeah! Now this Game Gear has new shell, new buttons+membranes, CleanAmp + CleanJuice (rechargable batteries) + Modern McWill screen. Cool eh?!

Quick morning fix for a buddy. Original Pokemon didn't work but now it does. Using unfixed Game Boy for testing.

I may have done something...

Spend 1h to fix the Game Boy screen. But now it works.
