Most interesting poisoning story to me is that of Bruce Nickell and Susan Snow. In June of 1986, Bruce was complaining of headaches. He took several Excedrin and then collapsed. He ended up dying in the hospital. The doctors contributed his death to his emphysema.

A week later, Susan Snow took some medicine for a headache and also collapsed. Her examination showed she had died from cyanide poisoning. Was this another Tylenol-poisoning case like in Chicago a few years before?

No. It was Bruce’s wife, Stella. The motive was Bruce’s life insurance policy and Susan Snow was collateral damage in Stella Nickell’s dumb plan. I really like the coverage Karen Kilgariff and Georgia do on . It’s episode 146. Go give a listen!

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA On July 7, 2012, Valerie Sifsof was camping with her boyfriend at the Granite Creek Campground in Moose Pass, just south of Anchorage. According to him, they got into a fight just before midnight and Valerie stormed out of the camp, leaving her phone and ID behind. Her boyfriend said he looked for her until noon the next day when he packed up and left. Three days later, he reported her missing.⁣

That August, a search party found Valerie’s green tank top. And in October, Valerie’s family found her black hoodie in a log jam about six miles away from her tank top. Valerie was declared dead in 2016.⁣

Valerie is 5’5” and weighed between 120 and 150 pounds. She’s Native American and belongs to the Yu’Pik Inupiaq tribe in Alaska. She was last seen wearing a black DKNY hoodie, green tank top, blue sweatpants, black calf-high boots and silver rimmed Prada sunglasses.⁣

If you have any information on Valerie Sifsof’s whereabouts or know of anything that happened around the night she missing, please call the Alaska State Troopers at 907-783-0972.
