Spent my first day of 2021 creating! Between sketching these new designs for to formulating new Book Nook 3D printable designs, to sewing up a few Mug Rug orders- I am WIPED OUT!
How was your first friday of the new year?
Took an early morning trip to get some time in! We had all 4 baby goats to ourselves & Oz enjoyed carrying around his choice & chasing the other little kids around!

I did a live paint session broken into 4 parts yesterday! I took a picture of this , painted my base layer, traced my lines using & filled in my artwork! The final steps were outlining and popping the frame on!

When I bucked up and bought a thermal label printer my mind started REEEEEELING. It only does black and white but who even cares??? It is fast, quiet & I can finally print these doodles I sketched out for a fun outer package surprise! Yessssssssssssssssssssss
100% obsessed with the tiny flowers we gathered on our walk this morning.
When I'm not craftin', I'm mommin'! This kid keeps growing every single day! It's hard to keep up with all the firsts! We recently had the first time he grabbed my hand to hold on his own....he recently had a milkshake for the first time (win!) & he started saying "thank you" in his own way. For everything. 😁🥰
My bro turned 28 yesterday! My son couldn't stop staring at the 28 candles!

My growing boy reminds me daily to pause for moments like this. I had to capture holding his tiny hand and feeling his tiny body scooched up next to me.
I already see so much intelligence and determination in his 2 year old self. I cannot wait to foster his development & watch him shine!🌟

Everything Mary is making me squeal with delight because they make the CUTEST craft organizers! Yes, Yes, YES!!! Who needs a new rolly bin?! 🙋♀️
I allllllso bit the bullet and finally chose a direction for my side hustle. I am launching a brand new online store that has been stewing in my brain for years now....logistics made me choose other avenues but the time has come....
What does that mean for my IG?? I am going to stop making it 100% business related and start posting a wee bit more personal or behind the scenes images.
Creative Earth is shifting to be more of a parent company, while my new business will be in the spotlight.

Staying motivated during a worldwide crisis is making me crazy. I have been having major anxiety as so many of us & have actually struggled with feeling like I'm not getting "enough" done (yeah, Giveaway, I'm looking at you!)
Welp, for posterity & TO GIVE MYSELF GRACE....I give YOU my list:
I have sewn enough masks to stop counting them, slapped together an impromptu outside porch water park, made a much needed sewing machine cover, made 10(ish) handmade greeting cards, sewn 3 new couch pillows & a paintbrush roll-up carrier, cultivated at least 15 new herb plants, started an English Paper Piecing project, started an Office themed crosstitch, and managed to keep the house somewhat manageable & a toddler amused. 🤯🙀
I need to stop thinking I haven't done anything!

Being locked at home makes everyone ponder things...
I try to live each and every day of my life by saying yes to opportunities, sharing smiles with those I meet, & generally trying to spread love in the world.
Making things out of nothing has been a common thread throughout my life....think about all the things you have made. Ever. How many of those do you think have survived? I like to think my earliest earnest tries still survive buried deep in some storage box in someone's attic.
For now, I am taking the leftover scraps from my mask making journey & English Paper Piecing them together for a couch pillow....wish me luck on this handsewing journey....I am much more fluent in Machine stitching IMHO.....
