The ‘REAL’ Covert Operation.

Spade JM wrote a book called Covert Operations in which he explains in great depth and detail his original Sleigh of Hand routines, methods and applications. All of which are dear to him. The book is still not finished as of this writing and is by far, nearing completion.

Throughout the duration of 2019, Spade JM is theorizing on names for a podcast show that he is planning to do. At first, he decided upon naming the podcast Slave to the Spade aptly named from his first book of the same name. However, upon realizing that Covert Operations is a much more fitting name due to the essence of the term itself and how it relates to the art of sleight of hand, he decided to call the podcast Covert Operations.

A /covert operation/ is a military operation intended to conceal the identity of (or allow plausible denial by) the sponsor. This relates somehow to Sleight of Hand as much of what we do are in the shadows. Never to be seen by anyone whenever in performance or in operation.

The Covert Operations Podcast is the first podcast in the Philippines that talks about the beauty and intricacies of the Art of Sleight of Hand. The podcast aims to cater to magicians and sleight of hand artists who are experienced in the craft. Moreover, the podcasts main goal is to make the art of Magic and Sleight of Hand more known as a community that shares ideas, principles and theories to one another compared to the stigma that relates the craft to gambling.
