One of the reasons J and I have such a great relationship is because we are always talking. And I allow myself to be vulnerable by sharing my highs, lows and all the joy in between.

Oh, and plenty of embarrassing stories! In this episode, J and I play a game of ‘Would You Rather’ get to know each other better. If you are wondering how to have better communication with your teen, listen to hear how you can play this game to get your teen to open up. It’s easier than you think!

The way my voice cracks when I ask J the question 😂😳! I don't care how old your child gets, there are some things that you are NEVER ready to hear!

So I asked J what's the first thing she would do when she gets her first apartment and her answer is hilarious 😂! It made me flash back to when I made a box of cake mix and at it until I got sick 🤢. Growing up, I loved licking the spoon and now that it was my house, I figured could have as much as I wanted 🤷🏽‍♀️. Not my best decision.

2020 has been a real teacher! And one of the lessons I have learn is to LET GO!

LET GO of things you cannot control
LET GO of hard feelings
LET GO of self-doubt
LET GO of fear
LET GO of trying to make everything perfect
LET GO of emotional connections that are not reciprocal
LET GO of material things that no longer serve me

As a result I feel lighter, more confident, less stressed and ready to take on whatever comes next 💪🏽!

This episode was so much fun! J and I asked each other 10 random questions with the goal of getting to know each other better. And we learned quite a few things that we didn't know about each other. One of her questions was what did I wish I spent less time doing. That answer is WORRYING for sure! I thought back to how much I worried about money and the responsibilties that came with being an adult after graduating college. Too independent to ask for help, I probably struggled more than I needed to, but I figured it out. And I'm definitely stronger for it. So now I'll ask you. What do you wish you spent less time doing?

Oh, and if you're interested in trying with your teen or anyone else, you can go to the website dontwannatalkpc.com to get the list of questions.
