The sad reality of life is the fact that we will always have people especially those close to us who dislike us and wish us harm for no reason. It will not be some stranger that will cause us sadness it will be people that are closest to us, because they have such close access to our heart and because when they can mess up, they can really mess us up. Parents, Children, spouse, close friends, close relatives, confidants, business partners. The people we love the most also tend to hurt us the most.
You will be let down, you will be hurt by their insecure behaviour and you will probably be scarred for life with their broken promises and lies. No matter how hard you try, these people will never be pleased or content with you. You can give them gifts, you can help them with their children, you can help them with money, personal sacrifices, effort and time but nothing will work.
These people will make us lose hope. They will say things to us that disappoint us and cut deep into our heart and soul. They tell us how haraam and how evil we have become. People can put you down, and they will, but Allah will never abandon you so long as you don’t abandon yourself.
Your parents, spouse, friends’ and child's disappointment with you are not the same as Allah’s disappointment with you. Don't become stationary and stagnant due to what people think or say.
Don’t confuse the disappointment people have with you, with the disappointment Allah might have with you; they are not the same thing. Your job is to carry on moving and to carry on progressing. When you do things completely for the sake of Allah then you'll be able to sleep in comfort no matter what people say against you and no matter the lies that people invent about you.
When RasoolAllah ﷺ lost his son his uncle celebrated the death of his son. Can you imagine losing a child only to be informed that a close relative is celebrating this massive loss of your life?
The one who has been termed as mercy to mankind had haters and had plots against him. Although, these hurdles did not steer him away from his mission. The pain and hurt he endured did not curtail him from following the commandments of Allah.
When trials hit us we need to remind ourselves that we are the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ departed this world 1400 years ago but he is still alive and dearly loved by 1.8 Billion people around the world. Your sole intention in life is to please Allah. Make that your mission in life. And Allah will make your duniya and akhira beautiful and easy.
📖 ❝Is not Allah Sufficient for His slave?..❞
{Surah Az Zumar 39: Verse 36}
Focus on attaining Allah's love and Allah will wage a war on anyone who wishes you harm.
📚 Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said that Allah said: “I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of mine. And the most beloved things with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My worshipper keeps on coming close to Me through performing Nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, then I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hands with which he grips, and his legs with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him, and if he asks My protection (refuge), I will protect him.”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari]
