I had some errands this morning and instead of taking one of my homemade smoothies along, I decided to pick up a smoothie from a popular smoothie shop. A few sips in, my stomach felt weird and I just couldn't finish it.
After digging through the nutritional content, I leanred between the artificial sweetners, juices and yogurts those smoothie shop smoothies are loaded with close to 100g of ADDED sugar 😳! It blows my mind that even the "healthier" option restaurants aren't truly healthy, yet they make millions pretending to be. While leaving people no closer to their health and wellness goals.
Many have inquired about my smoothie biz and honestly I just got frustrated with things not taking off how I envisioned. However, this season in my life, I'm relaying on my higher power more than ever even when I don't know the outcome. All this to say, I'm back to taking smoothie orders! 🍃
Some more for you. My passion and wish for everyone in life is to simply be the healthiest versions of themselves (not skinny, but healthy)! But look at that waist though 🤣
Seriously, just imagine the thriving lives we could all live if we were simply healthy; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually! How much better would this world be!?
I'm still a work in progress but I have a vision that God will use me somehow to spread this message to the masses! Idk how it will look but I'm just speaking it into existence!
February 2023
-Eating a ton of tacos/nachos
-Drinking a ton of Tequila (we were actually out for tacos and Tequila in that pic)
-Working out daily, mostly cardio
-Inconsistent with water intake
-Cycling through super restrictive eating in a rush to get back to "the old me" just to lose and gain the same few lbs over and over again.
-Beating myself up for not being "perfect"
-Inconsistent sleep patterns
-Unconsciously masking some past traumas
February 2024
-Still Eating tacos but in a much healthier way. I finally accepted my gut cannot tolerate cheese (None of our guts can, but that's a story for another post)
-Not only have I given up my precious Tequila but I no longer consume alcohol at all! (Ohh believe me, I fought God long and hard on this one but since obeying, I hear God much clearer).
-Still working out daily but lifting heavy weights 💪🏾 (Anyone know where I can purchase inexpensive free weights)?
-Working out more with my husband, loving the 5am uninterrupted quality time we get
-Increased protein
-Still loving my juices and smoothies
-Chugging water daily
-More intentional with getting to bed early
-Unlocking new areas of growth and healing
