The Court said that it would not pass orders on merits of the bail plea of Mr. VV Rao at this stage and sought responses from authorities.
Meanwhile the family of Mr. VV Rao, is not receiving any updates of his health conditions from official sources. They have asked the Maharashtra government to all allow a family member to be with Mr. Rao at all times in hospital, and consider their interim bail plea.

The 80-year old poet and activist, arrested in the Elgaar Parishad case, was shifted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital on Sunday for neurological and urological treatment.

Evidence used to keep Sudha incarcerated for 2 years – letters from another persons device. They bear no sign, no date, no authorship. No objectionable content recovered from her own devices. Produced during trial these will NOT BE ADMISSIBLE.
Alas! the trial will take a long time to begin and they will continue to languish in prisons.

The observation of the Court in Bharadwaj’s case that the decision as to whether a document is admissible in evidence or not will have to wait for the trial stage is unbelievable. Anand Teltumbde (70 yrs old asthmatic) and Vernon Gonsalves (63 yrs old) both were in contact with Mr. VV Rao and are at increased risk.
Vernon Gonsalves was the main care giver to Mr. VV Rao and remained in close contact with Mr. VV Rao.

NIA has been granted another 90 days to INVESTIGATE and FILE CHARGE-SHEET. This is the verdict by the NIA sessions court on a SUNDAY. In the meanwhile, Dr. Anand Teltumbde will continue to languish in judicial custody at Taloja Prison.

The NIA while denying bail to Sudha Bharadwaj claims that the chronic ailments she suffers from & the real risk of COVID19 are mere excuses!
They say that upon receiving bail she can tamper with ongoing investigations of Dr. Anand & Gautam!

The NIA, in its reply, said that the argument about her medical condition has no merit, as she has been suffering from “some chronic illness” since 20 years and is undergoing prescribed medication for the same. It added that she is being provided with necessary medical assistance in the jail.

The Constitution gives jail inmates rights and privileges. But it seems that which inmates get to exercise these rights and when is decided on the whims of the jail administration!!

Anand, lodged in Taloja Jail has no access to video calls, he has been denied books! The last time his wife saw him was on 25th April when he was transferred from NIA custody to Taloja Jail.

Tihar authorities have agreed to allow Pinjra Tod member Natasha Narwal to have video conferencing meetings with her lawyer, telephonic calls with her family, and access to books of her choice.
