"DADDY HAS A PICTURE OF HER": OUR DAUGHTER SCREAMED DURING FAMILY DINNER.
We had just moved to a new city for my husband Jim's new job, and during the dinner, our 7-year-old daughter Lily was excitedly telling us about her first day at school.
"Amy and Chris gave me pencils after Amanda took mine. Oh, and DADDY HAS A PICTURE OF MY NEW TEACHER!"
Jim choked on his drink.
ME: "Whose picture, sweetie?"
HER: "Ms. Willis's! I saw it in Daddy's office."
My heart pounded. "Will you show us, hon?"

The fifth anniversary of my marriage turned into a nightmare. I cooked a delicious dinner, waiting for my husband David to come home from work. But when he arrived, he just looked at me askew and said, "What the hell are you even wearing? You look fat in this!"
Then he added, pulling an envelope from his pocket, "I have something for you."
Overjoyed, I took the envelope, expecting to see tickets to Paris. My husband knew how much I wanted to go there. I opened the envelope and almost fell off my feet—it said "DIVORCE."
"Tell me it's a joke..." I said through tears.
He replied, "I don't have the time to joke around with you. Because...I hate you."
"Why?" I barely got it out of me.
"Why?" David scowled. "Just look at yourself in the mirror...you will know why."
"Besides, someone is waiting for me in the car," he continued, his eyes glinting with a strange spark of joy.
"Jessica!" David continued. "My secretary, remember? Always fit, polished, and sexy!"
"You were... cheating on me?" I stammered. "With your secretary, Jessica?"
"Bingo! Two tickets, one for me, one for the future I deserve." He grabbed his suitcase and swung the door open.
He didn't know then that in a few months, he would be begging me to take him back. 😳👇

"I have TWO REQUESTS before I die," she begins. "First, I want to be cremated."

After I was widowed, I dreamed of my son, Ryan, starting a family. For months, he talked about Lydia, the girl he'd fallen for in France. I couldn't wait to meet her.
Last week, I prepared a lovely dinner. But when they arrived, I nearly fainted—Lydia was a woman MY AGE wearing a red dress and heels. Still, I was willing to accept it if they were happy, but then they said this:
Ryan: "Mom, relax. Lydia's moving in to take charge of everything."
Lydia: "You have a great basement. It'll be perfect for you now—or maybe you can stay with your single daughter. I'll need a separate office and of course, we'll take the master bedroom."

MY DAD JUST WOKE UP FROM A COMA, SAYING HE HEARD EVERYTHING IN THE HOSPITAL ROOM & EXPOSING MY WFE.
The day we'd prayed so hard for had finally come! My dad woke up after a year in a coma. Our whole family gathered around him, bringing flowers and balloons.
He looked weak, but his eyes were filled with happiness.
Me: "Dad, how was it? Did you have dreams or just nothing?"

I looked at Leah, who had gone pale.

"Nick and I told Sophia that after 1 whole month of going po:op on the potty, she could pick out a special prize at Target. She, of course, picked a new doll. The obsession is real.
While we were checking out, the cashier asked Sophia if she was going to a birthday party. We both gave her a blank stare. She then pointed to the doll and asked Sophia if she picked her out for a friend.
Sophia continued to stare blankly and I let the cashier know that she was a prize for Sophia being fully potty trained. The woman gave me a puzzled look and turned to Sophia and asked, “Are you sure this is the doll you want, honey?”
