A few stills from the latest bake. Scroll through to see the various stages. I dampened the dough slightly to allow the flowers, stems and leaves to stick on well. Dusted with rice flour then added an expansion score. Baked in a 450F on my preheated pan for 20 min with steam. Then another 15 min same temp and no steam.

Experimental Bake

I fear I have been under fermenting all my sourdough… all this time. Time to test that out and bake some more!

In the meantime, here is a recent bake for a friend (reason for which, no crumb shot). I replaced the water with a Pilsner beer. Dough recipe is below. At the second fold I added dried rosemary and Parmesan using lamination.

📝77% hydration sourdough recipe
600g bread flour
200g whole wheat flour
600g beer
108g active starter
15g honey
15g salt

Toddler Tested • Potato Salad

Toddler approved potato salad! Watch till the end to see if this recipe is toddler approved or not 😉 Using ingredients I had on hand I put this recipe together during baby’s nap time. 📝 Ingredients List 4 Yukon potatoes 6 Eggs Salt & pepper to taste Pinch of Paprika Few sprigs parsley 1/4 c Pickled onions 2 -4 Scallions 1/2 to 3/4 c Mayo 3 or 4 t Mustard Boil potatoes and eggs for 20 min. Drain and cool. Chop parsley, and both kinds of onion. Mash eggs with a fork, and break up potato as needed. Add in everything else. Toss together and serve fresh immediately or chilled. I wasn’t sure if the flavors and texture would be appreciated by my target audience in the video, but she ate a bunch of it!! Normally I add bread and butter pickles and celery but all I had was quick pickled onions for the acid component and I also thought I t was delicious. #potatosalad #potatosaladrecipe #recipeshare #creamypotatosalad #summerrecipes #instafoodlover #easyrecipe
