JKAP President Altaf Bukhari to call on PM, HM

Domicile order unacceptable to people of J&K: Gh. Hassan Mir

SRINAGAR, April 3:Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Friday decided that its President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari would call on Prime Minster Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in connection with the union government order defining domicile law in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ghulam Hassan Mir, the senior leader of JKAP confirmed to Kashmir Despatch that the party has in principle decided to register protest against the domicile law defined in the latest central government order. “We have unanimously decided that the JKAP president Altaf Bukhari saheb will call on the Honb’le Prime Minister and Home Minister conveying them our protest with regard to the unsatisfactory domicile law which is not in sync with the aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Mir told Kashmir Despatch.
He said that since the party has already described the new order on domicile as ‘unacceptable’ and ‘cosmetic’ in nature, the JKAP president shall hold threadbare deliberations with the country’s top leadership as per their commitments made on the floor of Parliament.

It is not something that was only conveyed to JKAP during its meeting with the Prime Minister and Home Minster but the Home Minister is on record to say that J&K will have the best domicile law as compared to other hill states in the country. This is what our president will be discussing with them in his meeting the Prime Minister and Home Minister as and when it is scheduled in few days,” he informed Kashmir Despatch.

President, All Party Development Committee, Reasi calls on Lt Governor

JAMMU, MARCH 06: Members of All Party Development Committee, Reasi led by Sh. Sukh Dev Sharma, today called on the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu here at the Raj Bhavan.
The delegation submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to enhancing of health facilities by posting required support staff along with equipment & machinery at Mother & Child Healthcare hospital Reasi to make it fully operational as it caters to a large population in the area. The delegation also requested Lt Governor to look into the possibility of establishing a Ropeway project from Sula to Bhimgarh Fort and converting the forest area around the historic fort into a zoo or deer park, among other issues.

रियासी, : पिछले कुछ दिनों से लगातार सवाई कर्मचारी अपनी काम छोड़ हड़ताल पर है वहीं रियासी शहर जगह जगह पर गंदगी के ढेर लगे हुए जिससे दुकानदारों के साथ-साथ आम जनता को भी काफी परेशानी हो रही है इस मौके पर सफाई कर्मचारी को कहना है कि हमारे प्रधानमंत्री स्वच्छ भारत का नारा देते हैं लेकिन जिन लोगों पर स्वच्छ भारत को बनाने की जिम्मेवारी दीजिए है सरकार उनका ही ख्याल नहीं रख रही है ऐसे में आखिर भारत स्वच्छ कैसे होगा उनका साथ चला है जब तक हमारी मांगे नहीं होती तब तक हम अपना धरना प्रदर्शन जारी रखेंगे और शहर में ऐसे ही गंदगी रहेगी उनका कहना है लोगों को आ रहे परेशानी से हमें दुख है लेकिन क्या करें हमारे पास उसके सिवा कोई दूसरा विकल्प भी नहीं है ।

जल शक्ति विभाग के जरूरतमंद कर्मचारियों की काम छोड़ हड़ताल 2 महीने के लिए स्थगित।
आपको बताते चलें पिछले कुछ दिनों से लगातार जनशक्ति के विभाग के जरूरतमंद कर्मचारी की काम हड़ताल पर थे लेकिन कल कुछ लोगों उपराज्यपाल से मुलाकत की जिसमें उन्होंने उनकी तीन मुख्य मांगों का माना है और उनकी काम छोड़ हड़ताल को फिलहाल 2 महीने के लिए स्थगित कर दिया गई है इस फैसले के बाद जरूरतमंद कर्मचारियों के चेहरे पर खुशी की लहर देखने को मिली उनका कहना है अगर हमारी मांगों को नहीं माना गया 2 महीने के बाद हम फिर धरना प्रदर्शन करेंगे और अपने हक की लड़ाई लड़ेंगे।

Div Com Jammu inaugurates Mahashivratri Mela at Reasi

Reasi,Deepak LokhtraFebruary 20: Divisional Commissioner and Chairman Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, Sanjeev Verma today inaugurated three-day Mahashivrati Mela at Ransoo, in tehsil Pouni of the district here today. The three-day mela will end on February 22.

The Mahashivratri Mela was inaugurated from Hotel New Tridev from where a shobha yatra was started. The shobha yatra consisted of tableaus based on religious themes and culminated at Darshani Deodhi.

While Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib was the Guest of Honour; ADG PIB, Jai Deep Bhatnagar and Director Tourism Jammu, Raj Kumar Katoch were special guests at the occasion.

In his address, Chief Guest Sanjeev Verma expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the mela for more than a decade since its inception. He also congratulated the Department of Tourism for organising the mela sucessfully ever since.

Verma called upon the people to set up temporary haats, or rural markets, for display and sale of local products. He also encouraged them to beautify the remote village and to extend their hospitality to the ever-increasing footfall of devotees coming from all over India and abroad. The Div Com called for sustainable development of the region in line with that done by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board in Katra.

Vice Chairperson, SSKSB, Indu Kanwal Chib hailed the locals as well as devotees coming from various parts of the country for their unwavering devotion to the mela and the shrine. She also expressed satisfaction over the fact that no plastic disposable is being utilised in the festival.

Cultural presentations were given at an inaugural function held at Tourist Reception Centre at the base camp. Regional Outreach Bureau had put on a photo exhibition displaying flagship programmes and initiatives of the Union Government. District Health Society, Department of Handlooms, Education Department and other departments had also put up stalls displaying their working and schemes pertaining to welfare as well as developmental works.

Those present at the inaugural function included, SSP Reasi, Rashmi Wazir, Tehsildar Pouni, Lekh Raj; Assistant Director Tourism, Ambika Bali; BDO Pouni, Om Prakash and BDC Chairman Pouni, Pawan Kumar Sharma among locals and devotees.

The mela will finish on February 22 with traditional dangal, wrestling, at Ransoo.*like *share *Follow.
