Last year, the gang reunited to make yet another movie in 48 hours for the Winnipeg Film Group's 48-Hour Film Challenge. We may not have been able to repeat the success of our 2019 entry, but the experience was unforgettable. I'm still proud of what we were able to achieve in the middle of a pandemic with limited crew, resources, and, of course, time.

"We All Die Alone" was our 2019 entry for the 48 Hour Film Challenge put on by the Winnipeg Film Group, where we received RUNNER UP for best film and nominations for best sound design, best actor, and best actress at the Gimli Film Festival.

The making of this film in 48 hours, from script to edit, was grueling to say the least. On top of that, we had to find ways to incorporate a number of requirements: a montage, a match cut, some French dialogue, and lot of other as well. Oh, and it had to be 4 minutes long.

It's not perfect, but considering we had 48 hours to make this, I'm so proud of how this came together. We really had a great team (and most of us are back together to try it again in 2021)!

A lonely man musters the courage to confront the object of his desire, but when she refuses his advances, the night takes a turn for the worst.

Back in 2019, the gang got together and made a film, start to finish, in two days for the Winnipeg Film Group's 48-Hour Film Challenge. We had 48 hours to write a script, shoot a film, and edit it all together, an entire production squeezed into one sleepless and harrowing weekend. We went to the Gimli Film Festival to show off our little horror film, and we came away with a bunch of nominations, including a nom for best film!

Despite the pain we all endured, we had so much fun creating "We All Die Alone," and we can't wait to do it again.

Last year, we made a little short film (actually our FIRST short film): "The End of the World," and we're just about ready to show you! We learned a ton about our personal filmmaking process, remarking on just about everything that could have been better, but we are still super proud of what we made.

I gotta say... Kind of surprised to be up there. The films in this year's 48 Hour Film Challenge at were absolutely fantastic, and I'm humbled to have been a part of it.

That being said, "We All Die Alone" was a team effort, and we couldn't have done it (in 48 hours no less) without the super talented individuals that helped bring the vision to life. Y'all the damn best! Top 2 Film, baby!

There will be an encore screening at the MET this Wednesday just in case you couldn't make it out to Gimli.

As soul crushing as last weekend was, I could not be more proud of what our team was able to accomplish. We feel like we have a winner for this year's 48 Hour Film Challenge, folks! Can't wait to see "We All Die Alone" and all the other 48s on the big screen!
