When asked the reason behind some new Telecom bidders' complaints in regards to not being allowed to operate as a mobile money platform, Brook Taye, Ph.D., explained that the government's refusal to allow mobile money in conjunction with the telecom license was claimed to have decreased the bid value by some telco operators, as it conflicted with their initial expectation/interest.
