here's to this life that i am so lucky to live 💌 a gift that my mid twenties has given me is gratitude. sometimes i sit with myself and it washes over me like a tidal wave. when i was young, there were so many days that i thought i couldnt make it to another one. and then i did. and then i did a thousand times more.

and now im still here.

this year has been good to me. too good, even. and i have my family, friends, and my partner to thank for that.

i know love is real because my life is so full of it.

spent the morning of my birthday in the mountains! woke up at 3 am and watched the sunrise. im almost in my thirties now but i try my best not to feel grief and dread about the nearing end of my twenties. instead, i think about all the beautiful things that come with the passage of time: i get to grow gentler and kinder, i get to watch myself handle situations way better than my old self did, i learn to trust myself more, i learn to honor my feelings. it's such a privilege to know me over and over again. so many mysteries abt myself i have yet to unravel... and as long as i live, there will always be more. aging can be such a beautiful thing.

few weeks ago, i reread my journal entries from late 2019 and early 2020. i read and relived all my thoughts and feelings from the early days of pandemic (and cried). and it made me realize... that if there's one reason why i truly love journaling and why i try my best to stick to it, it's because im able to rediscover how i used to think, how i used to feel through it. just think about it. how we think right now, how we feel things right now — it will all be different five or ten years from now. you and i will be entirely different people. 🫧 but whenever i open my old journals, i meet and get to know my old selves again. like hi, it's been so long. nice to meet you again. 💌
