During women’s history month, we are still making Black HER-Story 🥳 This was my 2nd annual workshop with the National Society of Black Women in Medicine organization at USF!

We had a great conversation about the difference between stress/anxiety and depression/ bad days, and putting yourself FIRST on the priority list.

Y’all these young women are amazing, and I’m excited about all the places they will go! 🥹❤️

Hey y’all! So, I’ve been on a bit of a break, to get my life together of course! And I’ve learned a few thangs!

1. my genuineness IS my currency.
2. People gravitate to me because of who I am, not because of what I HAVE (and I don’t owe anyone anything).
3. I am exactly who I say I am. PERIODT!
4. People leave because they can. (And that’s ok!)
5. Feelings are meant to be felt, and sometimes I’m supposed to feel them alone.
6. 2023 is personal!

Hey y’all! Last night I got to speak with the USF Chapter of Black Women in Medicine!

It was such a powerful moment to hold space for young women studying to be healthcare professionals! Not to mention, speaking at my Alma marter 🎉

In this meeting, I held space for them to cry, vent, and process their frustrations while also giving them healthy coping skills to work through it all!
Health care starts with SELF-care! 🤎

I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to use my gift. This is one of many safe spaces I plan to create as a Therapist!

Today I reflect on the time on deployment when my LPO said “nobody likes you Taylor, and they probably never will because of your attitude…you won’t get very far in MY Navy.”

😂😂😂 I can laugh about it now cuz well, he was half right. I guess I never learned how to play “the game” 😵‍💫 But during that time it felt insufferable.

It took me a long time to shake his words. Don’t ever let someone’s idea of you, taint how you feel about yourself! You aren’t like everyone else, you’re YOU. 🤎
