No platform is perfect, & we cannot rely on any one space for community and connection. That’s why it's always best to join our letter of news, which is free and informative.

The M3ta-verse has not worked in our favor for a long time. There are several factors that led to this decision, including the prolific scammer accounts, c3nsorship, shad0w bans, & creepy ToS.

Our engagement dropped significantly (as in, from a reach of several hundred accounts per post down to barely reaching double digits) after we began speaking about financial history, politics, civil rights, & Money Culture, & I have no reason to believe it’s the actual content that turned people away. That’s because our old account was shut down for over a month with no means of disputing the false claim against us, & we’ve had even the mildest non-political comments trigger warnings.

In short, this platform has gone to 💩 & there is no return on continuing to invest our resources here, so why continue? There are greener pastures - and bluer skies - elsewhere.

We’re not completely closing IG and FB, but most of our content will be removed by December 31, and we will likely not make future posts after that.

So, you know what to do! Find an above-listed option that works with your life & help us build a community there.

Paul Castle is an artist who began losing his eyesight to an untreatable disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa. He has currently lost 95% of his vision, but uses adaptive tools to still create endearing art and inclusive children’s books.

Welcome to Day 9 of Rebellious Resources’ “25 Days of Small Biz-mas”!

Today’s “Shop Small Spotlight” is The Homeless Garden Project (), providing meaningful work and job training to unhoused people on their 9 acre organic farm in Santa Cruz County, CA. 🌱

The Homeless Garden Project began in 1990, offering a sanctuary space for healing. It has grown over the years and now produces a variety of foods, flowers, and herbs that are sold through CSA programs and farm stands. Their year-long job training program provides participants with the skills and experience to enter the workforce and create a new life. 🍓

Items grown on their farm are also used to produce a variety of handcrafted products that are sold via their online store including herbal teas, spice blends, hand-dipped beeswax candles, lotions, bath soaks, salves, and balms. Their dried flower wreaths are also available locally. 🌻

Today’s “Shop Small Spotlight” is Jesse’s Teahouse () - Bridging cultures one cup at a time with great tea products sourced directly from tea farmers! 🌱

Jesse got to know and love tea culture while living and working in China for 9 years. During that time, he built wonderful relationships with the tea masters who worked directly with tea farms to source the best loose-leaf and cake teas. Some of these tea farms and their trees are hundreds of years old! 🏮

When 2020 forced a pivot, Jesse began sharing his love of tea culture on YouTube, which then grew into working with those same tea masters to bring their products to a Western audience that had mostly only known mass-produced bag tea. Dreading this year’s family gathering more than that overcooked turkey on the dinner plate? We don’t blame you. 2024 has been a wild ride!
