In her long and exhilarating career in show business, VELEKA GRAY has been cast in starring roles on Broadway, film, and television. She has served as a Blue Ribbon Judge for the National Emmy Awards since 1975. She has mentored her acting students for thirty years in New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and at the College of DuPage in Chicago and is thrilled when her students succeed in the industry. She was on staff for “Soap Opera Digest” for six years, penning an advice column and writing articles on other celebrities. After she started writing scripts for her own films, she was awarded the title of Master Screenwriter by ScreenwritingU. As an award-winning filmmaker, she has produced nine films with her acting students and is shooting a tenth SAG-AFTRA film in 2022. When she’s not filming or teaching or writing, she narrates audiobooks for Amazon. She is in the Louisiana Entertainment Hall of fame, a member of Mensa, an ENFJ, and is a lifelong learner who is fascinated by the Enneagram, mythology, psychology, archetypes, Carl Jung, tropical astrology, Chinese astrology, and the work of George Gurdjieff.
