Some new brand work in action! I’ve been expending my branding portfolio, and finding so much inspiration lately - introducing, Wildwood Acres 🌿🍋

Wildwood Acres was inspired by my visit to in Cape May last month - I played with chickens, ate some of the best farm to table food, and just wish that this was closer so I could go all the time!

Wildwood Acres is a farm retreat set in Asheville, NC. Nestled in the mountains, I wanted this brand to reflect a sense of renewal and connection.

One of the biggest inspirations for the color palette: figs! Symbolizing abundance, wisdom, and renewal, this felt like the perfect fit.

The answer to the age-old question - how do I know what platforms my business should be on 🤔⁣

Look, you don't need to be on every platform to have a successful social strategy (trust me, this is just a headache)! ⁣
⁣
What you DO need is a strategy for platforms that... ⁣
⁣
💭 Resonate with your target audience! Think about your audience, client, etc. What are they doing? They might be scrolling through Reels looking at cool restaurants on Instagram! Or, they might be in their community Facebook group looking for a new aesthetician. ⁣
⁣
⚡ Think about YOUR goals. Are you looking for brand awareness and community marketing? Instagram is your best friend. Looking to generate leads? LinkedIn is calling your name. ⁣
⁣
🤳 Know your resources! I knowww you're waiting until the last minute to snap a photo of your new drink or service. Work with local resources (like a SMM) to build your social strategy. ⁣

This little food truck is right in Severna Park, and they have the best bowls. Currently counting down the weeks until they're open all week long (so I can get at least 2 bowls a week 😂)⁣

Why is no one talking about community marketing? 🤔

The first thing that comes to mind when you're thinking about social media is probably surface-level (don't worry, I mean this nicely). The photo, the caption, the hashtags, all of which are important!

BUT, great marketing starts with a strong community 🤝. So, what is ? In short, community marketing is providing your audience with opportunities to dive deeper into your brand!

Think creating a special "Supper Club" for your restaurant regulars to enjoy once a month, a coffee and morning walk group for your fitness studio (waiting to have one of these by me 🤞) - ways that you can show your customers value while building relationships.

The result? Brand loyalty unlike any other. Especially for local businesses, community marketing is essential. If you're outsourcing your marketing, working with someone local who is in your market as a consumer everyday gives you a leg up! Not that I'm biased...

When talking about branding, the first thing that comes to mind is probably visual - fonts, colors, logo, etc. -- but your brand is so much more!​​​​​​​​

Brand identity is a visual representation of your business, showing your vision, values, and personality. Outside of the aesthetic aspects, brand identity includes determining your mission, vision, and value statements, building your target audience personas, and promoting brand pillars that your business is led by.​​​​​​​​
