They’re here: the weekly Chubby Coffee Breaks!! ☕️ Ep 1.5: ethical vegans vs. plant-based. What’s the difference? (Link to listen in the comments 🎧)

I know a lot of seasoned vegans will have no trouble discerning, but for those new or curious to veganism, I wanted to clarify these terms that get thrown around a little more. Take a listen and let me know what you think!

The Chubby Coffee Breaks were added A. as a fun end to the work week; where you can take a listen on your ten minute work break and have some coffee with me, and B. as a secondary weekly episode since so many of you requested it last season ~ so this has been really fun to implement!

What other topics do you want to hear more of? Do you want to email me some suggestions? Send me a DM or email: [email protected] 📧 And stay tuned for next Monday’s guest episode dropping at 12pm ET / 9am PT, as usual!

Chubby Little Miranda (although v busy 😤) is hoping you’ll tune in to the FIRST Chubby Coffee Break episode tomorrow morning!! ☕️ (She clearly needs some caffeine and a break, amiright?! Yikes 😳)

No but actually ~ I keep this photo of my baby self framed at my desk, yes WITH the little word bubble... to remind me that I don’t need to take things so seriously. And neither do you.

So grab a bev of your choice, take a freakin’ BREAK, and come have a chat with me (🙋🏼‍♀️ chubby adult Miranda) tomorrow morning! And yes, this means two episodes per week - woohoo! - Although this one is less than ten minutes long, so it fits within proper break time standards ⏰

We are starting with a slightly controversial topic, so I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. 🤔 Talk to you tomorrow at 8am MT!! 🥳🎤

Look who’s back! 🤩 It’s your favorite animal activist and a co-founder of the Vegan Chub Club: Joelle! 💜✨

Joelle tells us all about Corky the Orca, who has been trapped at Seaworld since 1969 🥺 and what we can do to help Corky!

We also dish more about why Joelle left the podcast, what’s she’s been up to, and much more.

Click the “Learn More” button to listen now, or find the link in the comments! Major thanks to Joelle for coming back for an episode (or two... 😏)!!

Normalize “fat” as a neutral descriptor. You don’t “look” it, you don’t “feel” it, you just are or you aren’t. (Fat.)

Fat facts:
Fatness is not a burden.
Fat people can exercise to lose weight, feel good, or just move around.
Fat people can play sports and be athletes.
Fat people can go outdoors and be adventurous.
Fat people can go hiking, kayaking, zip-lining, snowboarding, run a marathon, teach yoga,
and so on and so on and so on.

Normalize fat. Normalize using it as a neutral descriptor. But there's no need to use it to equate it to incapability, lack of drive, longing desire to change, or the absence of value.

General reminder:
Don't compare yourself to others. Especially inanimate objects. Like a boulder, for example. ⛰

Hello, loves ~

Now, and always, in the Vegan Chub Club & beyond: BLACK LIVES MATTER.

We assume you knew, but it never hurts to reiterate. 🖤

We will be specifically celebrating black voices and lifting up black creators and businesses for the next several episodes. Last week we hosted Randi from the Cases Of Color podcast. Next week, we host Dominique of Dccancook. (Follow both of these amazing women!)

Edyn Jacks, co-founder (and still an owner) of The Vegan Chub Club, is a bisexual black female entrepreneur. Her legacy will always run through the VCC, and our platform will always represent diversity, which includes black voices, in & around the vegan and/or plus-sized community.

We promise to always uphold & celebrate this representation.

If you’d like to be the voice of a future episode, please send an email to [email protected].

Stay well, stay strong, and reach out if you need support. We are doing our absolute best to share as many resources and creators from/for the black community as humanly possible.

Thank you for being here. We love you!

🤍✊🏻💛✊🏼🧡✊🏽🤎✊🏾🖤✊🏿🌈

Episode 8 is live tonight, featuring Randi - host and creator of the podcast: Cases Of Color.

Many thanks to Randi for being the voice of this fight against racial injustice, and for helping white allies understand how they can help. We stand with the black community, now and always. Link to full episode in the comments.

This quarantine is gonna be really miserable without a well stocked pantry. Make sure to check out my latest video for a list of my pantry must haves 🥫And if you’re able to donate canned goods and non perishables to those less fortunate during this turbulent time, spread the love!
