Sometimes life throws you a nugget that could completely CYA...
So a friend of mine has been carrying on a flirtationship with a mutual friend of ours for a little bit now. Never woulda happened back in the day but Son got kinda hot so yeah. I get it. I don't judge. We're adults(ish), right?
Anyhow, during some mindless FB scrolling this morning, I notice he posted and tagged someone. So I let the curiosity get the better of me and jumped head first down the rabbit hole. Well SUMMUMABITCH....
Dang if it don't look like he's got a woman! Like a serious one.!! Now I could totally put him on blast for putting my friend in this situation but again, adults. Ok. Maybe not so much here but, not my circus, etc. I'll just make my friend aware and hope for the best. Hos before Bros always!!
But still. Wtf is up with this? Why? Are honesty and loyalty such far gone concepts? I mean seriously? Is this what it's come to? Naughty texts and planning to hook up all the while having someone at home with you? Someone that seems to be VERY happy with you? And you seem to be the same? Lord love a duck!! In this day and age you protect that!! You don't go creepin!!!

Just a few warnings for anyone who may be wondering about certain things....
1. They only contact you via social media ⌨️📲
2. If they text you, it's only during "office hours"
3. I may/may not be right here, but they have no relationship status if they're on FB. Just my experience that something's up 🤷🏼‍♀️
4. They tell you that they live with a friend in a friend's house and pay rent but they're not allowed to have people over. 🚩🚩🚩🚩
5. They're breathing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ok. I had to throw that last one in there but really. With some people nowadays that's a surefire way to know they're lying or hiding something.

Let me start by saying this....
The chase phase IS fun! All them cute, flirty things we do to pique their interest and vice versa. And admit it. Being chased back is kind of intoxicating.
BUT, there comes a time to reign it in a bit. Not because you don't wanna be caught, but because you gotta see if it's only the thrill of the hunt.
If he really wants you, he'll NEVER STOP CHASING YOU!!!
If he's still calling or texting you first. If he's taking that time out of his day. If he's keeping you close but not smothering you and letting you do your thing while waiting for you? Then that's the guy to let catch you!
See, a real man isn't gonna try "and" keep you. He's gonna try "to" keep you. HUGE difference. If he gets scared of things, he's gonna talk, not walk. And even while being scared, he's still gonna wanna see what happens. With YOU. He's not gonna be out there plan B-ing.
So while it may seem like the same old ish again, chances are, it's legit not. Go ahead. Stop chasing and see if you get caught....

Taking a MUCH needed happy break today to celebrate one of my favorite people's birthday!! May have to collect his thoughts on another passing year as an immortal soul. Or maybe just his thoughts on moving deeper into the 40s.
Either way, looking so forward to the impending amount of laughter!!!!!

And all of a sudden you realize that the pain your feeling isn't the same pain. It's different....
It's different because what you're feeling is no longer a broken heart. It's the pain from having to rebuild the wall that was completely knocked down in order to protect the precious little left. It's the pain of feeling closed in when you were so wide open. It's the pain of knowing you may just end up feeling this way again. And again. And again.
But all the while knowing that for that 1 person, you'd risk it......
